Woudl it be possible to have some high res versions of some of the pics you have taken at events for the articles im doing?

Need to tread carefully here Gadge. Photographs (and indeed your words) aren't free. AI is a commercial publication, CiA is a personally supported club. You could argue that it benefits WW2 airsoft, which wouldn't be wrong, but AI magazine is there for the personal benefit of Paul Monaf.
This isn't a refusal Gadge, just pointing out no matter how enthusiastic you/we are about a project (and more WW2 in the mag is great) ulimately the articles are there to make someone money.
The allied/axis training day shots were taken by Major - I have the originals.
Not a problem Dave if you cant or dont want to supply pics (obviously with a credit) I do have two very good photographers who have already agreed to cover events and kit shots for me (andy already does stuff for/with AI).
I just thought you might like to see your pics in the mag.
We'll shoot a lot at this weekends training day anyway but there were some good ones from the last one, i wanted to show a bit of brit and german stuff as my current 'market research shows players saying 'AI has too much of a US focus'.
edit: oh and damn right my words are not free 
(although i'd write for the love of it in this case) . I'm commissioned by AI in a very real sense, I'll speak to Paul about what the deal with photo usage is and renumeration if you like.

I'm not being difficult Gadge. I'm not that fussed about the kudos of having photos in AI mag - it's been my living for the past thirty years and my work is used used all over the world!
But I am interested in promoting CiA (& PBI) events and the cause generally.
I'm sure Jay has an agreement over words and pictures as he uses both for his articles. Andy gets paid for his photos.
However, I wouldn't do it for the 'love' of it - and I don't want to see you or others exploited for someone elses' gain, that's all.

As I said Gadge, that wasn't a refusal. Monaf doesn't give away his mags, and he isn't altruistic.
I don't want cash for photos (he couldn't afford my fees 
) but that's not to say CiA can't benefit in some way.
I've been involved in some way or other with print media for 35 years and the one consistent theme over that time has been publishers ripping off contributors - they know there are plenty of people who would happily give stuff for free just to have their name in print, so why pay for it?
I'm not exactly new to journalism Dave. I used to supply freelance copy to national papers when i was 17 - 19 and worked for GW's White Dwarf mag and 'Black Library' publishing sporadically in the last five years(front page and a center spread on the Sunday Sport amongst others 
).
As it is at the moment i have bugger all to do with my time so it's an interesting diversion for me, hence I'd do it for free, I'm not up for discussing rates but i can guarantee you I'm not going to get rich working for Paul.
Basically I just wanted to use a cool picture for the initial article that was an existing one rather than hope for a good one on Sunday or use stock AI pics from d-day (and get lots more yank kit).
As it is I've lots of 'doable' pics form Andy's Hurtgen shoot that hes more than happy to let me have so its not an issue honestly, I see where you're coming from but i'm not naive and i'm fully aware that its a business for Paul.
But I 'm in this cos I enjoy it, being paid is a bonus.
