Good site... Run as well as LF usually do... Its got a lovely big safezone... needs some work (LOTS of broken glass) but I'm sure they'll sort it out in time! Parking is also good.

Its a lot smaller (at the moment) than the old LFU or PU. Its more in the style of PU than the old LFU... lots of interconnecting warehouses.

There are plenty of places where the layout ends up with stalemate situations... Whether those continue to exist I don't know. A lot of what the game this weekend was about was for Shaun to identify how the site plays.

He's going to add a load of extra barricades inside and outside the buildings. Hopefully though he'll keep these in keeping with the general feel of the site... though I'm not too hopeful on that, we'll just have to see!

There are two routes up into the woodland. One is fine, the other is very steep and muddy in areas and after some use will probably start to become impassable.

I didn't get chance to go into the "Killing House" the CQB building they have set aside. I'll have to try that next time.

All day we had just one ceasefire as a member of the public walked past. The site and safezone/parking is surrounded by chainlink fences and is well out of the way of people so hopefully we won't see to much problems. Certainly the site seems to have less potential for Chavs stealing stuff (unlike the old LFU)

Thinking about it now, I'm very glad we've gone with PU for Arnhem. Its a lot more suitable!

Had some initial thoughts of a game that could be played there and thought of Monte Cassino. The urban area could work as the town and then the hillside and woodland above (which is quite extensive, but very steep) would work well perhaps as the hill and maybe build something small at the top as the monastery... I've not done much investigation into Monte Cassino, so I'll have to have a think about it.

Dave... what did you think?

Hmm, let's say I won't be going back until the site is opened out!

Slack and lazy games (as it was at LFW) with a typical open day that seemed to pander to those that just want to shoot the crap out of folk.

Site as it stands is very linear with little opportunity for flanking and resulted in stand-offs and stalemates - poor considering those were identified on the opening day.

Yes Yith, a 'Where Eagles Dare' (without the snow!) or Monte Cassino type thing will make use of the wooded hill (that was explored by many and then avoided as too much hard work!) and that is a fine idea. However, much work need to be done on site and it will need more than dumping a stack of barrels as barriers! Old cars as barriers sounds good though, paletes are ghey!
