and then strress the other threads are just for showing what you do and not neccesarily requiring comments

I don't think we should do anything to put people off . If someone posts in a flecktarn jacket with some runes sewn on we should be just as enthusiastic as if they have full kit and regalia. It may be all they can afford/ their first step into WII .
If someone asks specifically for info " is this correct" then I reckon to fair to answer, but just picking holes is counter productive to the aims of CiA .Remember Steiners comments on ASCUK before the Bulge, about it seeming exclusive, we've worked hard to counter that and now he's forked out for some pukka kit . That.s what CiA is about for me .
If people want to go to the next level then let them go off to reenactment circles, this is airsoft , runnning around with toy guns etc .
BTW I've also posted a similar comment on the thread about making a jacket out of some old post war zelt bahns . This Poacher bloke seems to be a wind up merchant in my opinion .

I don't know anything about Poacher but he needs to be channeled in some way.
We could do with some separation though - along the lines of 'Show us yer kit' (little sticky saying 'be nice - no stich-counters please') and 'Kit advice please' (little sticky saying 'argue the toss over the accuracy of real-life WW2 photos vs what your re-enactor group leader tells you is true') threads. OK, I'm being a bit snide but I hope you catch my drift

Just do a sticky, explaining that we want people to be nice and enthusiastic and avoid criticising people's impressions and that if they really want to bitch then to go elsewhere.
Explain that this site is about themed airsofting and not about getting 100% historical accuracy.
Maybe give a link to the wwii re-enacting forums in the sticky and say that, that is the place to have more detailed discussions!

I think we're all peeing in the same bucket on this one . It's good to have reenactors/experts around to help people if they want to get the 100% right look ( I found Major really invaulable explaining how all the kit went together propery) but inclusion is the name of the game . I think part of the appeal of our events is the way you can discuss this sort of thing with like minded enthusiasts, it can come across as a bit agresive at times on a forum .

Well, that's all sorted then.
On the subject of inclusivity could I just caution against abrupt and intemperate replys - Poacher may have iritated us, he may or may not be an arsehole but I would much rather he was included rather than blasted out. Of course, I am being optimistic and rather hoping he will come round to our way of thinking rather than disapearing in black cloud and slagging us off to his re-enacting chums....
