I'm rather troubled with this.
While taking a decent set of photos is impossible grabbed during a lunch break in a game and therefore a good plan to organise something outside the gaming environment I'm very worried about his plan to hike with weapons across country. OK, it may be remote but using public & private land and carry weapons?
It would be pointless to do it without weapons or indeed have them covered up. It's clearly illegal and even if they are not reported by a passer-by it wouldn't do to condone such activity - would it?
Having said that part of me says feck it, almost certainly passing MOP would think it a cool thing and watch with amusement (as at D-Day) and we wouldn't be doing anything wrong (in the sense of morally - not robbing or injuring or doing anything really bad).
What you chaps think?
Have pm'd you about this . Given my recent posts on KGSS I didn't want ot come across as negative , and hence held my tongue . However the law is very clear , carrying RIFs in public without a proper reason is illegal , resulting in Police action and possible prosecution , bad publicity for airsoft and the holding up of WWII airsoft as pyriahs .
If it's private land then he should be OK with the owners permission , would also suggest letting the local coppers know out of courtesy and sticking up some signs saying "Film work in Progress " . If it's public land the blokes a nobber.

He should be okay as long as he has permission from the landowner and the police.
However he will need insurance and pyros could be a problem!
We do disimilar things with our re-enactment group...
Legally, Police don't need to be informed, if they have the owners permission to use the area. It is, however, common courtesy to do so (just so they know whats going on if they get a phone call from a concerned MOP)
I'm rather worried about this. The last thing that either Airsoft or Reenactment needs is for a load of guys in W-SS kit caught with de-acs and RIF's out in the middle of the North York Moors.
Sometimes, i truly wonder what they hell Stubblehopper is up to.
