I'd love to get involved in planning an event. My weakness is that I don't have access or knowledge of many sites, perhaps a game at F&O's new site might be in order for February sometime?
Well i'm curretnly looking into using phoenix woodland for a gustav line or cassino game in may (phoenix woodland is up high enough for cassino!).
If having looked at F&O at the august training day it seems more viable then i might want to use that.

Its definately a better option than Phoenix...
But PU looks just like the ground around said area of itlay when i visited cassion a few years back.
Hilly and rocky in parts and not too dense in woodland.
I have to see F&O yet but as it stands PU is perfect, if F&O is better then i'll change plans.
My other thught is that is the back fields are still usable by Dave then the 'kosovo house' might make a good monastery.

Whilst we're on the subject , I quite fancy running a 24 hour Escape and Evade next year , downed bomber pilot stuff. I'd copy the gameplay from IED, but WWII' ise it . Not ot everyones tastes , but I reckon the Germans would love it and I'd only have ot get 8 Allies wanting to be evaders so could cherry pick the best .
Finally any thoughts ot a midwinter game ot round the year off. ?
Proble with a winter gameis the limited ammount of daylight hurs, its why Wotan will work so well.
So unless we find somehwere with ample artificial light we're looking at about 5 hours game time total.

I really think we have a sliding scale.
Micro event with an opportunity to put in lots of character, sub plot and 'roleplay' at one end and 'mass battle' at the other.
Everything we've done to date really fits between the two IMO.
