We have been a bit sneaky with the name and background information for this event and to people eyes it may seem that this is a German attack, Russian defensive game. But this is pretty much the other way round. The area we have chosen to base our event on Sinyavino was the setting for a Russian offensive that pre-empted the start of the Nordlicht Offensive by a week and turned what was a mass attack by the Germans to crush the city into a hasted defensive that allowed the city time to create further defences and stocks to allow them to hold out for much longer under the siege.
We will post up the Russian objectives in due course but I just thought it is better that we outline the event to you.
