Getting excited now, up to about a 7 now. Better try and finish the snow smock off, looks like it could get some use.

Couldnt resist the lure of getting all suited and booted last night to check all my stuff is ready, first realisation...greatcoats are bloody heavy  especially when combined with full belt kit & an e-tool. Still, if this weather doesnt warm up i'd be foolish not to wear it!

Car is packed and batteries are charging, just bread, water and booze to shop for.
I'm creeping up past 8.

Oh yeah, today I realised that you can't just pick and instrument up again a year later and still know how to play a tune  .

Given the look on Dean's face - and his hands over his ears - All we need do is funnel the Hun into and enclosed space with powerful acoustics.

Mattesons smoked sausage is my favourite. Good to eat cold, but you can warm it in the sealed bag as you boil the water for the rat pack / noodles/ soup ;)

RETIRED, thanks for some truly memorable times and great people

That is very unusual for him, in my experience.

Have a look in Bluewater before you arrive? They may have an Ann Summers outlet if you want a pair of black boots :)

I've got pair of postwar gaiters I'll bring along if they help

For three days earlier this week one of my front tyres has rapidly lost all air, the last three days it has been fine. Took it into the garage, it was removed and closely examined but no fault found so they put it back together and replaced the valve - so I hope that has sorted it and I don't have to stop on the hard shoulder on the way down. Anyway, all packed and stowed in the car, firewood done too. Now for a couple of hours paperwork until my navigator turns up then we will set off at 3-ish. Satnav says an easy 2hrs 40mins but we will hit the M25 at rush hour so gawd knows how long the journey will actually be.

So, I'm at a 9 and looking forward to seeing everyone again and I hope the weather holds - today has been fab airsofting weather. (Well, for battery gun users anyway!)
