Open fires?
I have a log burner, open braisier and frontier cooking stuff, is there anywhere we can set it up? I'll cook in the jyppowagon if not 
also a small period looking tent?
Can't begin to say how excited I am, shame you can't make it a week long event

There really isn't anywhere to pitch a tent that's not miles away from the sleeping/social area. The car park is concrete so I'm sure a brazier would be OK
Well... there is that small patch of grass out the front which could accommodate one small tent - assuming that there are actually enough inches of soil above the concrete.

I have seen this done before gave me emmense pleasure watching someone pitch a tent in 2 inches of turf over concrete

You will need to bring plenty of firewood then, there is nothing combustable there, it's a quarry.
Then I will bring petrol and we can burn rocks!!! And some wood
Bring wood guys, especially old wooden garden furniture for the win
I'll bring Coals too.
I'll also have some Bbs and my large batt charger for peeps that need them.

I've just dismantled the eldest's bunk bed and have a big pile of nice solid pine lying in the dining room as I ponder on how to re-use it rather than take it to the dump. I guess keeping us warm is a worthy use so I'll hack some of it up and bring it!

David, I though YOU were the eldest? I have a ready-made quip about Mrs CW and who gets to go on top, but it's in very poor taste 
If you have visions of Captain Mainwaring and Elizabeth in the air raid shelter you wouldn't be too far wrong...
