It looks good value for money as well. I'm about half way through my own conversion and I may drop it and get one of these and see if it can be made with a removable magazine.

I`ve been following the progress on the PPSH, its turned out looking superb. I think Gryphon mentioned at the start that he will be doing a version with 2 removable stick mags as a package at some point :)

It's cute, however reckon the upper reciever and barrel shround should be a lot rounder. Also its fibreglass :ghey:
$245 for the stock and a pattern is not bad, but TBH I reckon a second hand stock and some metalworking would make a better one

Anyway Peter- what about some pics of your WIP?

Doh

Check out http://www.ppsh41.com/
Bill has all the machining diagrams on line , ready to download and cut.

TBH though feck ally , use thin mild steel .
It's stronger
It won't dent
It'll take paint or bluing far better
You can probably weld it
It's cheaper
It'll weigh closer ot the real steel

Ok it's harder to cut , but thats a small drawback IMHO , esp if you have and angle grinder .

I'll get some up soon. I'm on nights at the moment and haven't touched the gun for a couple of weeks. I've obtained an M14 gearbox and have arrived at the unfortunate conclusion that I need to MAKE a stock, rather than use the one I have. On a positive note though, I gave my Dad the upper receiver from my de-ac and he gave it to a patternmaker where he works and the bloke has done an almost perfect copy of it for me in steel. It's nowhere near as easy a conversion as the K98 springers were, so it's going to take me a while to get it done (hopefully in time for the Ostfront game in May).
