Just had confirmation... he's got 'em :)

Only thing he didn't get was a 48 star flag... I seem to remember someone on here was bringing one of those though?

Feck me, how many Staff Sergeants are there going to be?

I think it's to confuse the snipers! I have to admit, the wearing of rank on a "fighting" uniform is all a bit :ghey: to me. Mind you, as a sniper myself, if people want to make it easy for me to single them out, then crack on I say.

my dad was a full corpral around the time of market garden, he said all officers and nco's had there rank in there pocket and brought it out if questioned or needed, the german snipers shooting from the woods eather side of the club route were that good.

It was a common practice (on all sides) to try to present yourself as less of a target, particularly to snipers. It's common sense really to try to hide the most obvious indication that you're worth shooting! None of my combat gear has rank on it, an old habit from my army days.

Mind you, through a scope, it's still fairly easy to spot a priority target. Mapcases, binoculars, hand gestures, mannerisms, etc, all mark people out as worth a bullet (or a bb) in the head.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

I can tell if it was mine, the brass eyelet on 1 of the ends is a bit ripped. That, and its a polyester one, not proper one.

Ah, that's OK then, the one I have doesn't have anything written in the corner. Must be yours.
