Huge apologies everyone - last night we had the bad news that the landlords and land agents have had a change of usage policy for Grafton park Wood, with the upshot being that we can no longer have use of the wood after the end of May, and cannot hold any events on Saturdays, or any overnighters.
This makes existing game plans unworkable and, given that we have constructed the game around the site and it's features and facilities, even if we found another large site available that weekend it would be impossible to re-write a new game plan with only a few weeks remaining.
Rather than cobble something together or run an event for the sake of running an event we have made the decision to postpone. So, with a heavy heart we are returning monies already paid and we will be attempting to have another go at this scenario at a later date.
Sorry once again. It isn't the first time we have had sites pulled and I don't suppose it will be the last!
Bugger, that is a real shame. It is such a nice site too.
Thanks for all your hard work on this so far, I hope you manage to find another suitable venue.

Yes, it's a kick in the dick, given the amount of planning that's gone into it already but, at least we've got plenty of notice and, a working gameplan for future use, if we can find a suitable site.

I was really looking forward to this not least because it seems that every other event being planned between Crete and Lenino seems to be falling on the wrong weekends for me.

So sorry to hear that we've been messed about by the landloads/agents of the site - nothing to do with pheasant breeding is it?
I must admit that, though sad to hear it's not yet going ahead, I'm happy to hear that it is currently only "postponed" as it sounds like one hell of an experiance, and certainly one that I really want to be part of, and only yesterday it was looking like I could not actually now make that date for definate and would have had to miss out....
...so yeah, peeved that it has had a spanner in it's works - but secretly pleased as it means that a new date may be more allowing of me to attend!!!

Is there any chance we can just all meet up at a big site somewhere and do a bit of training or something? I rarely use my Brit kit and now having had to make space, the German kit is being sold off fast so something where brit kit can be work would be good....?
