Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......

Enjoyed the day, big thanks to Jimbo for the organising and to the guys at Ford Ranges for letting us use their site (and providing us with a bloody big fire for the social! ). Overall it was an enjoyable event, with the Germans heavily outnumbered it was always going to be a hard fight, but I thought we acquitted ourselves well. The early skirmishes that culminated in the allies gaining control of the Flak 38 were particularly fun
Things seem to break down after we had paused for lunch, the day became a lot more 'open day' like and I didnt like people 'dancing' out of the way of pellets fired at them - was a minor gripe though, I still enjoyed the day and its always good to meet up with familiar faces
If the event has inspired a few new folk to start taking part in the WW2 Airsoft scene (& from the feedback so far, it looks like it has ) then it was a very worthwhile day (not to mention the excellent total raised for HfH).
Oh, and very well done to the photographer - excellent pictures! Hope they dont mind me using one as my Avatar?
Fantastic photo's. I particularly like the one of my British Airborne (literally) impression:
Well timed
Great Pics
Well, I most certainly had a good time! I was having a great time before we even started shooting each-other, it was just brilliant to see everyone in their WW2 kit and everyone was friendly, welcoming, and helpful to us (the contingent from Cornwall) on our first airsoft game - let alone our first WW2 game. Thanks in particular to the guys who lent us guns and to Ford Ranges for putting us up for a couple of nights - meant that we could participate when we wouldn't have been able to otherwise.
I'd agree with the general observations about the gameplay itself, I particularlyenjoyed the fight across the runway and then also through the woods after lunch. There were a couple of "suicide charge" type scenarios in a row, which might have benefited from being spaced out, but then again I appreciate the limitations imposed by the nature of the site, i.e. having to avoid the fields themselves due to crop damage. I'll also say, that Flak-38 was great, really added to the gameplay and the paintjob was fantastic, one of my favourite German schemes!
Luiluei, I think that was probably me on my own in the US rig, having at you guys from the right during the fight by the pond. Very honourable of the two of you to take hits in expectation of incoming, I doff my helmet to you! I had a dicky mag on that M1 (hence the sudden lack of BBs coming your way), failed on me a couple of times during the day. I really liked the rifle itself though (borrowed it from Pete) so when I get my own, I'll make sure to get a few spares!
All in all, I had a cracking day in good company, and we're still chatting excitedly about our first airsoft game - we'll definitely be along for more in the future!

Pictures from the young lady who was wondering around with the camera.
Excellent pictures couldn't have done any better myself
Well done.
Peter. for the young lady not for you Jimbo !!
Great day. and good to see everyone again after a big gap for me. Also good to see so many new faces keen on diving in to ww2 games
First part of the day was great fun , but I think the allies started to loose it near the end. The assault on the pond was a bloody stalemate.
All praise to the bayonet charges from our over eager rifleman

Lol, I tried my best, never got to stick anyone with the pointy end though!
Had a great first time at a WW2 event and now looking at doing some more this year. Great to chat to all of you and enjoyed some fantastic gameplay.
Some brilliant photo's there.

Enjoyed the photos, a thank you to all who had taken them .Great meeting all you ww2 guys, hope to see you all again at the WW2 NORMANDY event at Combat South in June.
A big thanks to Jimbo for organising the day. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, however today (Tuesday) is the first day that I am not stiff to the point of looking like an OAP. Great to catch up with the regulars and also meet a few new faces. My only regret is that I couldn't make the after game social..
Regards Chris.

Just been going through the photos from Paul, the Oorlogs Korrespondent while he's on business. Here's one of the photos, tweaked, of the allies taking the Flak 38. Paul will be releasing all the photos in due course.

I used my little HD video cam but the results were not as good as Sevastepol for some reason, perhaps I still had it on aqua setting So here's a few stills put together in a slide show.
