Hi guys and girls this is a bit of a rallying cry!
Lets support events where possible that is how the hobby will continue to grow.
San Marino is £25 the same as a walk on day so I hope no one is going to moan later in the year that there are not enough events on in their area. I have a map of most people in the South East and last count there was over a 100 
This event is a Help for Heroes fund raiser I did think there would be a few more having interest. Remember this event is also to encourage more people into the hobby and as you can see by the Squads thread there are many seasoned veterans NOT newbies. I remember my 1st event when I saw Steiner and the Boshmans in their kit that's what inspired me and others alike, but without the support then what will the newbies think they are getting into?? Lets try and rip a few away from the Call of Duty mentality modern and get them attending WW2.
Agree 101%, this is a perfect event for those starting out in WW2 airsoft (black boiler suits for Panzer troops etc) but this will also be a 'proper' event that I'm really looking forward to. Don't worry if your gear isn't perfect , don't worry if you weapon isn't right - come along & get involved! Stop buying gear & start playing!!!!!

My nagging has dragged in one fairly fresh piece of meat for the Hun to shoot. Pity two noobs had to drop out due to work commitments. Even had the spare kit for them

Thanks Tim I know you go to most and this is far for you to go. I was more pointing the finger at the 100 or so in the South
I am trying desperately to swap/move work commitments around as Ford ranges is just up the road from me. However at the moment I am in Mumbai that weekend... Bugger!

Modern guns aren't a problem, take off all the sights, red dots and lazors, them wrap the whole thing up so it looks like a bundle of sack cloth and shoot through that, if you can't get a loaner. The whole purpose of this event is to get people into ww2 airsofting without getting worried about not having the right kit or guns. Getting into the spirit of it all and having fun is far more important.
Good to have events in the south, some events up north are to far for me, hope the support is given to the Normandy event in June at combat south, even though its not on the 2014 events calendar.
i think quite a few of us are planning on going to the Combat South Normandy game ,maybe it should be in the games thread ? it might get more notice there .

aha, found it. As I am at work I even checked whether anyone had booked that weekend off, only to find I booked it ages ago and I can't think why. Can't have been important though, guess I will be going to the Combat south game 
I was always supporting this just in a non-committed sort of way. I now find that as I always suspected would be the case I am now definitely not able to make this
Hope it goes well and that I can make the next one.

I have a small skewer hidden in the collar of my jumping jacket, and a razorblade in my gaiter, as well as my knife.
Right then.. I am sitting here getting more and more pis%ed off that after 3 weeks of trying to swap my work roster so I could be off for this one and getting no joy, despite offering quiet large amounts of money as recompense and getting no joy what so ever, I have come to the conclusion.. Sod it I will throw a sicky.. If Gordon or Jimbo are on line, please confirm there is a place available, either FJ or Para and I will pay forthwith..
