Well, I am rested now so thought would just say big thanks to all those that came :)

The Good: the weather after so much rain and driving down in 2 hours of rain pissing it down, It just stopped and Sun came out and stayed out, driving down I did not suspect I would be moaning how hot it was lol

The kit levels and gameplay some great scraps from Start to End all made it a Great day for me :)

The Bad: The cost I don't like to change how I run games so this 1 is my fault I had hoped to break even but with 32 players only on a big site it was against me :)

The Ugly: People who just don't come and don't even bother to leave a message on here or facebook etc and we hold the game up 20minutes as we wait to see if they are running late etc

but the last 2 are minor points to the first 1 :) I was shattered going back but was worth it all, but it's good to see the P.T.O. going well and we shall be on a different island hop next year

The only downside to this weekend is putting my back out today bending for something and can hardly move, but better today than yesterday :)

Many thanks for another cracking PTO event Chris; playing at Eversley with smaller numbers really does ratchet up the tension...you never know when you are going to make contact with the enemy, especially when you're in and around the thick ferns and start taking fire with no-one to be seen!

Big thanks to USMC squad 3; christened the 'Bog Divers' as we seemed to be spend most of the afternoon wading through the swamps on the Eastern side of the site

And massive thanks to Chris and his helpers for putting the game on; really appreciate the effort that goes into these (not to mention the large amounts of sweeties).

Looking forward to the next one!

Yes, many thanks for organising this one. This missions worked really well, and considering the size of the site and our small numbers, we had an amazing number of contacts. Hats off the US for pulling off a perfect ambush, waiting until we were right in the fire sack before obliterating us completely. Many thanks to Japanese Squad 2, there may not have been many of us, but we managed to use up every single pyro we'd been issued and our sword charge was a thing of beauty.

Many thanks Chris, a splendid day.

I am sorry to hear about the Bad and am more than happy to pay more, I don't think any organisers should be out of pocket financially, particularly when they put in so much time and effort to the games.

Special thanks to my fellow Bog Divers in USMC Squad 3, I finished brushing the ooze off the leggings and boots today!

Until the next one.

Cheers

Thanks to Chris, all involved & all the players that turned up even when the weather looked as if it was going to be wet all day.
When I saw how many players had put the effort in to turn up I thought it wa going to be a long day & didn't think the day was going to be any good.
Well I needn't have worried as ithought all the missions the squads the game play & the hit taking exceeded my expectations.
Thanks to Tom for leading us to success most of the day it just seemed funny that when you sodded off we lost our way & from then onwards it all went pear shaped & down hill for us marines.
Big thanks to Chris for letting me book on when all the spots were taken.
Hope to see you all soon if not then maybe at the next PTO event.
See ya.
Ps.
If one of you japs was a gentleman they would have offered their sword to chop up the bloody watermelons. :D :D

I’d like to echo the thanks as above. Chris is the guy that does all of the work behind the scenes. My job is to try and convince him not to spend too much money (I fail at this) and ferry him and the kit about (I’m better at this).
The success of the games is down to two things in my opinion. Chris’ mission system mixed with squad based play and the honour, integrity and humour of the players. So hats off to everyone that attended particularly the new players that really bought into this game style.

Saturday was an excellent day, plenty of scraps, plenty of tense patrols and no issues at all. Brilliant fun. Roll on the next one.

For what started as a dubious day weather wise, turned out to be another great Pacific theatre game, well done to Chris and Co., I managed to get to the last battle this time, and Pete was right, when Tom slipped away, team cohesion did also, was still a good battle though.
I would gladly pay a bit more money for games such as this ( even though I knocked you for a quid, Chris)

Great game although we had lost troops before we even started. Our small squad sneaked around the site in constant threat of being surprised out of any bush.
Highlight was a brilliantly set up ambush by USMC squad. As we did not want to get ambushed again we changed tactics and ran into another set-up ambush at the same spot by other US squad. This time the US squad was wiped out.
Thanks to Chris and crew for organising. Looking forward to the next one.
