Yep

Not sure yet by with the updates I'm doing on Wednesday we might be upto 120. Would be great to beat the Carantan event as we had 120 on site for that. We finished with 112 at Arnhem in march.
I think Carantan is still the largest WW2 airsoft event of all time

should be awesome! looks set to have the most vehicles at a game too, 7 or 8 if they all manage to make it!
“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942
"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."
Joseph Stalin, November 1942

Woo. I hope there is a big car park on-site. We'll end up parking on the M25
Looking forward to this a lot.
Cheers

I think Carantan is still the largest WW2 airsoft event of all time
and a video with the most views for a WW2 airsoft event - 1.2 million & counting
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsqVpVIbyUw
Such a shame there are no links to Gunman Airsoft, the WW2 forum or website though - if only 0.1% of those viewers had been motivated enough to find out more we would have an extra 1,000 players in the pool. ![]()
(Heh, but it does show how many viewers you get when you put D-Day in the title
)

you mean like this:
[link]http://www.linkedtube.com/IsqVpVIbyUwc09ea49a9509f75f6e6b8bcce65c2442.htm[/link]
Apparently you can embed this stuff into players on third party websites but not on the YT channel. External websites account for less that 1% of the traffic.
Not sure how much use it will be either. The metrics show only about 12% of views being from the UK and only 9% of those being in the 25-34 age bracket. Before I disabled comments the most prolific posts were:
"How do u mak the morter???? Plz anser"
" I wanna do 101st Airborn"
and
"AK47 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
![]()
Well, at it's simplest you could give info about how to get info instead of "Comments now disabled due to idiots - sorry." or perhaps do what Scout has done - loads of info on his page: http://www.youtube.com/user/scoutthedoggie?feature=relchannel
I think he is even picking up a bit of ad revenue too!

Well I'm certainly not interested in setting up a smorgasbord of Social Media sites like Scout has, but if anyone else feels the urge, then these videos have always been free to use and embed.
I probably get around 5 or 6 PMs a week from people asking about WW2 airsoft and I regularly point people to both sites through comments and PMs on the other videos, even though they already say GUNMAN AIRSOFT and COMRADES IN ARMS in big letters on them.
Surely if someone were really interested enough to go to an event they would just google gunman airsoft or any of the other references, thats how I managed it at least!

Hmm, maybe. It is still pretty opaque to get into from the outside, in the end I was referred by word of mouth from a guy who turned up at my regular site in WW2 kit even though I had vaguely known for a couple of years there were WW2 airsoft games going on.
Perhaps younger people are more adept with search engines
However, purely based on my personal experience, not as opaque as Vietnam games. I nearly got to go to one of those once, but it was cancelled.

i think the reason that people don't find out about ww2 airsoft is because its not tied to an airsoft site other than gunman and a game could be played at their regular site without the regular players even knowing.

that is the video which made me aware WW2 airsoft existed.....and here I am.

Good to know. It would be helpful to have a couple of weblinks insted of a 'fek off' message though. ![]()

Fair 'nuff. Changes made. The FekOff is still there, just subliminal ![]()
if they look at the gunman website, there is nothing on there for WW2 as I promote airsoft games with Gunman and events with Filmsim Events. This forum and website is the only one needed in my opinion and this community grows all the time, with CIA back in the mix and more games availible the community will carry on growing.
Anyhoo...any more for the war?

I have a possible another person to join in with the war, dependent on if there are spaces in the allied team (preferebly section 1 in the British). Also he will need a uniform, equipment etc. but we can sort his gun.
