Sadly, i couldn't make it due to work commitments this weekend, and i'm well gutted

Huge thanks to Chris and Pete for getting this day organised.

It was a great day, very informative and a good opportunity to shoot the breeze with other players.

I'd also like to echo the thanks to Chris and Pete for setting this up . Really nice to put some names to some faces , and it's always good learning / practicing skills.
I think there is a great nucleas forming here for a very good airsoft team, both in terms of tactics and historical accuracy as well as sheer friendly cameraderie .

I'm sure Chris will echo me in saying that I'm glad you all enjoyed yourselves. I have a mild case of sunburn and a couple of insect bites but am otherwise intact. Excellent photos by the way! I'd like to see the group photo taken right at the end if anyone can post it up.

i didnt leave site till 1730 hrs, and got some filming done

The trick is to have all 4 buttoned together, then peg out two loops on one side first. Pole in the middle, peg out the other side. Then add the auxiliary pegs

Looking bloody good. DEFINATLEY looks more realistic when you have a mix of camo/feldgrau/jackboots/"retreat boots" rather than everyone in the same gear.

Great photos, especially the group one, it really shows how good the oak camo is and why we ran straight into that snap ambush. I too took about 100 rounds worth of hits in the name of training but it was totally worth it.

Many thanks go out to all that attended. everyone helped and really got in to charicter for the day.

but special thanks to chris and pete, the lessons were great, and should really help make peoples lifes easier when they get to CR.
also the lesson on how to build webbing will save me hours of trial and error, when i finally get a set.

and thanks to the sturmbanfueher and the major for coming along to keep us all in order, tiny and i couldnt do any raketeering untill after 4:30 when the officers had buggered off

Yup had a great day as well, really enjoyed all that ambush stuff, can't wait to see the latest installment of the "Sven Hassel" novels starring our own Tiny and Porta, thanks for all the work on the ranges guys, the tins that exploded when hit by BB's were tops. Oh and Tiny you promissed to make me one of those explosive charge detinator thingies that you had, I'll PM you about it!

but i still cant see porta wearing a shirt and tie...

I always see the guys in the 27th(p) wearing regular battledress they have been in the field so long i cant see how on earth their 1940 issue panzer wraps survive.I know its right by the book but i imagine it different.

Dont get me wrong lads you look awesome but i alwsys see porta at least wearing the least official kit he can.

But.. you make a frakking good porta and tiny... maybe too many teeth for porta and soem ginger hair dye needed but the killer look is there.

eventually when funds permit, i will have a feldgrau tunic / trousers , that ill roll around in on a dung heap.

also, i need to get a few teeth kicked out

ive hardly ANY back teeth, but all my front ones are there. porta only had one i think.

i have the same image of porta as you, its a shame i cant do him justice yet, but i certanly will try when cash flow improves
