I was thinking of buying the Para large rigger webbing set from SoF. Its 74.99 and comes with 2 x large rigger pouches for thompson. Set contains M36 suspenders, waterbottle and mug, 1st aid pouch, Musette bag, pistol belt and 2 x large rigger pouches.

Just wonderd if any of you have brought these and know if they are any good

Thanks all.

Jake.

Webby got through several of their belts, the metal they use isnt very strong and breaks easily.

The price is decent, but what I've seen of the quality leaves a lot to be desired, especially when compared to original stuff.

You'd do better to get down to a militaria fair and get stuff that you can see and feel.

I wouldn't bother, the rivets that hold together the buckles on the suspenders, popped on mine on the first use. Similar thing happend to my mate too. I've now bought original items from ebay for about the same cost!

I bought all my gear either via Ebay from various seller, my US pistol belt came from Russia (lend-lease) never used by the Russian army because it had US stamped on it.
M1936 Suspenders, Holster from Holland.

Jeep cap from Switzerland.

The rest from various sellers in Britain and it might cost you a little bit extra but it will last A LOT longer.

The only things I've bought from SOF are Jumpboots and M1C Helmet.

BEWARE THE ORANGEY HORRIBLE WEBBING.

Much of their stuff is designed for reenactors to prance around in, not for the sort of use we show it.

also the large rigger pouches dont close and cover the mags properly, they fall out . thompson mag bags are better.
