Hi Guys,

Not sure this is in the right place but here goes

I've looked and looked and looked and I cant find any gebirgsjager puttees not surprising really.

Anyways what can I use as an alternative? can I get away with some british ones some how etc.

Help much appreciated

Cheers

take a look on the PST! forum - they have info on using British ones dyed and with a buckle. You'll prolly find info about repro's or alternate ones thatcan be used.

Also search for Wickelgamaschen on the internet

HK KIeth used to sell Itallian puttees that people used. As far as I know HIKI on Ebay USA is HK Kieth. You could see if he still stocks them.

Schipperfabrik also sell steingrau and feldgrau wool puttees in 9' and 12' lengths. They're like the Brit ones though, without a buckle

Just looked on HIKI Ebay site. At the moment he doesn't appear to stock Itallian items so its probably a no go.

Please let me know if you've come right. I still need to make contact with this vendor. Have though seen a pic of the puttees...look good.

Unfortunatly that website gets flagged up by both AVG and ESET NOD32 antivirus programs as having a threat detected.

I have emailed the chap to see if I can get a response. As for the site itself my PC's antivirus program also indicated caution.

Will let you folk know if and when I get a response.
