Am thinking of getting a set of pea dots, but not sure if i should get an an infantry or a panzer set.
I'm tempted by the panzer uniform but already have a black set, were the pea dot wraps ever worn by infantry? Any thoughts ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Also just another quick question, i have a spare set of NCO shoulder boards with Yellow piping, now apart from Panzers, what other branches used yellow of some sort, could it be used for infantry at all, i know they had white, just a query.

All help greatly appreciated, cheers DW

Wraps were only worn by Panzergrenadiers, I understand.

Thanks for the help guys, its a panzergrenadier look that i'm going for, so looks like either set would be fine, think my decision is going to be the panzer set as i can use it with my existing black set as well as for the grenadier look.

Any more thoughts appreciated

Panzer Grenadier would have green piping on the shoulderboards, rather than infantry white.

please note Steiner meant WiesenGrün(Grassgreen) not Hellgrün(LightGreen) - as that's the mountain Troop Waffenfarbe. :good:

Are you sure that the SS used green as the wehrmacht did for panzergrenadiers I thought they stuck with white?
I'm also not sure about the SS using wraps outside of Panzer troops. It was unusual in the wehrmacht, Panzer Lehr and the 116th are about the only ones I remember and they were only selectively issued with the 'stug' wrap.
Not saying dont wear what you have. Just historicaly it's dubious.

May have to go with plan B then, panzer crew who's tank has been knocked out, luckily its airsoft and not re-enactment.

As for the white shoulder boards that was my thought with regards to SS formations, in particular the 1st SS who used white piping even for panzer uniforms, at least on the crusher caps!
