Where are the planning threads for Jay's October bunker game?

In the Projekt Wotan forum ![]()
Which is where exactly? - I can't see it....
"Project Wotan" Who came up with that name?

When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........
Gah... however created them (CW)... didn't set up the permissions fully... ![]()
You should now be able to see two new forums.
BTW, there are posts awaiting your immediate attention, Kermit... I did wonder why you weren't looking at them! ![]()
Project Wotan? As in Norse God Odin/Wotan?

It was Gadge's suggestion.
I thought it was suitably dark, teutonic wagnerian type name and catchy too...
If you dont like it guys im not precious about it.
Kermits game, only fair he shoudl name it.

"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
Operation "Cock Nose" then .... ![]()
Hitler wrote a poem about Wotan you see...
I often go on bitter nights
To Wotan's oak in the quiet glade
With dark powers to weave a union -
The runic letter the moon makes with its magic spell
And all who are full of impudence during the day
Are made small by the magic formula!
Above poem by Adolf Hitler, written in 1915 while Hitler was serving in the German Army on the Western Front. Reproduced in Adolf Hitler by John Toland, who presumably supplied the translation.

"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
"Wotan's Oak..."
I see.

He should have kept to his day job...
I htoughti itwas sort of fitting for secret research plant making forumlas etc

"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
I'm happy...
I think i might possibly scan better in the original german.
However if he had made it as a poet the world might be a very different place, we wouldn't be on this forum discussing nazis for a start.....

"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
True... we'd all be discussing poetry instead...
Er... hang on... we are!
I just thought 'Wotan's Oak' sounded quite euphemistic.
"Operation Odin's Wood" *ahem*

I'm on the same train of thought Headshot.
Amateur psychology time:
I often go on bitter nights When Eva's on the blob, i get a bit frustrated
To Wotan's oak in the quiet glade so I disappear off for a quick one off the wrist
With dark powers to weave a union yeah, i know, i'll go blind
The runic letter the moon makes with its magic spell Shit, its too bright out here, someone is gonna catch me
And all who are full of impudence during the day I'll fucking kill Goering and Goebbels, they can see I aint getting any, and are winding me up about it something rotten
Are made small by the magic formula! They piss me off anymore, they're getting a visit from the Gestapo at 0:dark30

Get with the Wagner Kameraden
Wotan , half blind old codger, needs a big staff , married to a mong called Frika, except he can't Frik 'er
So he shags mortals , produces twins, seperated at birth, who later meet up and shag each other giving rise to numpty hero Seigfried....who is raised by a dwarf and later shagged by a bird with a flying horse , who later throws herself onto his funeral pyre prior ot the whole earth going tit's up .
We'll leave out the Giants, dragons, watery tarts and magical swords . All set to a score to inspire you to go conquer Poland with .
As they say in Bayreuth, it's not over till the fat lady burns ..
H'mm 17 1/2 hours or goodness , Tolkiens hairy footed dweebs don't even come close.
I put Gadge's Project Wotan down as a working title - and 'cos I liked it!
As has been noted.plenty of Germn association and a bit of depth should folk want to dig deeper!
