Okay... done the hallamshire one:

Hallamshire Battalion

Basis of impression
The Hallamshire Battalion were a Territorial Army Battalion from the Yorkshire and Lancashire Regiment. The impression described here is for is for their involvement in the Battle for Normandy and the successful liberation of Arnhem in 1944

Head:
- MkII Tommy Helmet & net: SoF, SS, WPG {£40}

Uniform:
- Repro 40 Pattern Serge Battledress blouse and trousers: SoF (pictured), WPG {£170 for the set}
- Post war elasticated trouser braces {£5}

Insignia (mounted on pieces of serge on each arm):
- Hallamshire Battalion shoulder titles, red on serge, 2nd pattern: ML {£3.50 each}
- Late war (aggressive) 49th Div Formation Patches (printed ideally): SoF, DP, ML (all woven rather than printed) {£10 per pair}
- Infantry Arm of Service Strip: SoF, ML, DP {£5 per pair}

Feet:
- Ammo Boots: SoF, WPG (reproduction), SS (pictured) {£50}
- Black leather boot laces (4ft long): SoF, WPG, CES: {£2.50}
- Gaiters: SoF (repro), SS (pictured) {£10}

Webbing:
All 37 Pattern with brass fittings: SS, SoF, WPG, S&S
- belt {£15}
- 2x universal pouches (brass popper fitting) {£8 each}
- 2x webbing braces {£3 each}

- bayonet frog {£5}

Important point, regiments dont take to the field.

They have battalions

*usually* one at the front, one recruiting and training and one territorial.

In wwii regiments got extended to have up to a dozen battalions but would stil never take to the field as a 'regiment'

This stops the entire regiment being wiped out in one disatourous battle and allows a steady stream of trained battle casualty replacments

regiments an adminatritive formation not a combat formation.

2nd South Staffords

Basis of impression
The 2nd South Staffords was part of the 1st Airlanding Brigade and was deployed into battle by Glider. They took part in the Sicily landings and later in the doomed assault on Arnhem during Operation Market Garden.

Head:
- Maroon Airborne Beret. Large 10 ½ inch dia WW2 version. Unshaped: SoF (pictured) {£20}
- South Staffordshire Regiment cap badge backed with Hessian cloth: SoF {£4}

Uniform:
- Repro 1st or 2nd Pattern Denison Smock (2nd pattern pictured, but 1st pattern preferred): SoF, R (pictured), WW2C, WPG {£60}
- Repro 40 Pattern Serge Battledress trousers (note that there is also a blouse under the Denison smock, but since it is not visible it is not an essential item): SoF (pictured), WPG {£85 for the set}

all good except the sleeve type is more appropriate for south staffs.

they had the newest kit for arnhem after being refitted after sicily

so they had web chin strap mk3 helmets, patchett smgs and the newer 'envelope/sleeve' carriers.
