I can find some *very* weird mixed kit pics amongst my collection. But thats not the point. The idea with these guides is to show the ordinary issued clothing and equipment, not the extraordinary.
Hell, there's a famous pic of an FJ wearing Brit shorts and shirt, but I wouldn't do that for the simple reason that its the exception, not the rule.

OK, since I have already retouched Gadge's hair from Ester Ranson red shall I see how convincing removing braid, recolour piping, recolour and reduce mag pouch is?

Mag pouch we can sort, as for the piping i'm no expert but i researched before i bought and i'm *positive* it's right.
I'm just kicking myself for not going with my gut instinct and using the army mag pouches i took to do the pics with.

Just checked, ospreys 'battle of france' colour plates show a major of panzeregiment 25 wiht pink piping.
and brian l davies book states on page 161 that pink piping was used for *all ranks* and discontinued in 1942.
so its really just the mag pouch we have to stuff about wiht.
the only other panzer waffenfarbe trim i can source is yellow for recce, red for artillary and black and white alternating bars for pioneers.
I have four or five pics of officers with pink piping and *none* with silver to hand so i think we can leave that TBH.
Mag pouch colour is fine, just delete any cells we can see above three?
uniform was copied from plate 291 on page 161 of davies.
again plate 295 on page 163 shows the same on another panzer officer at kursk.

I wouldn't worry about it Jays just being a bit SN today . If you'd have asked me I'd have said pink was used throughout the war . 
Few will be doing officer anyhoo .
You know i just realised that,that loadout was exactly the same as one i had for my action man in his 222 armoured car in the 80's
