AGM M14 gearbox keeps jamming

I've just put my gearbox back together after getting hold of a replacement motor and a new safety catch (thanks Evo) and I tested it before putting it back in the receiver. It cycles once, then appears to jam completely. I have taken it apart again, made sure everything is in the right place and reassembled it, and still I get one shot, maybe two, then it jams.

My thoughts are that it could be shimming - the gears do seem to have a bit of side to side movement - or some sort of timing issue - I made sure that the lug on the sector gear which moves the tappet plate was at about 2 oclock when I put it back together which has always worked for me.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Ranj

yes ive had this problem when useing agm m14 gearboxes in custom stens ,its the single shot or auto selector assembly jaming ,the lever that resets the trigger switch only moves half wey.usually the solution is to put a slight shamfer on the lever where it meets the plastic yoke that goes from one side of the gun to the other.hope this helps, if confused and still need help i can send photo.

Have you got the motor wired up correctly? The AGM m14s come wired back to front as i found out when I did some work on mine - it too turned once then jammed.

Thanks for the replies, chaps but I sorted this out back in June shortly after I posted it - turned out to be dodgy joint between the wire and the switch contacts, I needed to re-solder it and it was fine. :good:
