On mine I was able to re route the wires through the bottom of the reciever. A photo will follow.
Can someone suggest a source for stick batteries. Component shop are out of stock and Barry did say he could not get them to fit as they are 19mm on one diameter.

http://www.strikalite.co.uk might make suitable custom packs.

I swear mine must be a different design or something!

I can fit a perfectly ordinary 8.4 stick battery in fine, it fits in better some angles than others, but goes in with relative ease...

(I use this type of battery: http://www.actionhobbies.co.uk/1500-mAh-8-4v-Stick-Pack-For-AEG-Guns_APF0M.aspx, the wire is normal, not flat)

Same here - you have to rotate the component shop sticks to work out the best fit but they will go in.

Handed PD's over to him on Saturday. He managed to fit the battery no problem and test fire it.

Is there anywhere one could aquire a Sten battery stock on its own at the moment? I know Warren at SnS had them but he ran out and doesn't know when he'll get more last I heard, I'm getting kinda desperate as I have a game on Sunday and want to take the Sten out for a spin.

EDIT: Scratch that, Warren came up trumps again :happydance:

When I was cleaning my sten last weekend, I connected up the battery and as I was sliding the stock up into the end plate there was a spark. On having a closer look I noticed the black lead from the motor had worn through exposing the metal. I wrapped some insulating tape round it and it's fine, but I noticed the edges of the horizontal bar in the end cap where the wires pass through are pretty sharp. So I've taken the rounded them off with a needle file, so it hopefully won't happen again. While I was at it, I araldited an M6 nut to the reverse side lining up with the allen bolt hole, so now there's about 10mm of screw thread for the bolt. Feels a lot sturdier now.

Clockwise to increase hop. But if nothing happens, you may have to modify your hop chamber. The earlier releases of the AGM Sten require this mod:

Spiers, I think you mean Americans, not Allies. The Brits have got Stens coming out of their ears! ;)

haha, for the british, the common line up would be the .303, the sten, the bren and the thompson. THERE MUST BE AN AFFORDABLE .303

GUNS: (ww2)
AGM sten mkII
Classic Army Colt 1911A1 GBB pistol
ARES PPSh-41
Deact Mosin M38
