Oh good someone finally has taken note.
I think the receiver is fine though... its just the sight that's wrong.
Hey lads, I've just decided to be nosey and actually bothered to take a look at the AZR vid they sent you. Yeah, I can see some reasons for concern, but I'm surprised that no-ones pointed out the M1A1 style mag' housing, rather than the more deeper 'drum mag accepting' '21/'27/'28 style mag' housing. Though, when looking close enough, It does seem that they've tried to model in the drum rib slots on either side of the right-hand-side of the mag' housing, but does look rather shallow to my eyes.

Yes you're 100% right there.
Anyway, how does the foregrip attach, there doesn't seem to be anything in the pics for that and the receiver has a strange silvery hole where something should go!
Zooming in I now see this... its okay.
Hmmm I'm also not sure about the rear sight protectors, they're an odd shape...
Ah, silvery hole mystery solved then!
I can see the attachment bar runs in a cutout along the top of the foregrip, one end locating in the receiver but I'm not sure how the 'nib' attaches to the barrel.

... but I'm not sure how the 'nib' attaches to the barrel.
If its like a real one then it won't... Mine doesn't either...
It'll just sit adjacent to the barrel.
This has the advantage that swinging it round by the sling will not in any way make the barrel wobble... ![]()
BTW, in that pic it looks like the barrel has no foresight... but I think it does... its just pointing towards the camera as its not been put in properly...
Oh yeah the cocking handle looks a bit odd as well... ![]()
Having said all that the stock, pistol grip and barrel look great! ![]()
I see, hope that bar isn't money metal then!
Yes, sight protectors are a bit off, not symmetrical and sloping on the sight pivot pin end. Not that there should be a pin there of course, but I'm starting not to care now!...

Take a look at the foregrip on AZR's blog:

This is much better than the one they are about to send:
I have sent them an email....

Reply from AZR - can't fault them for responsiveness:
Dear David,
Yes i see what you mean. I'll replace those vertical foregrip to a better one. Sorry for that. We apprieciate your comments.
Kind regards
Claude

I think I may have said this before...
The AZR paint is absolutely cr*p - it fell off the Garand as soon as you looked at it. Unlike all the ACM guns, it's also not been fired / baked on - I got it off in about half an hour with some brush cleaner and elbow grease. I'll be doing the same with the Tommy receiver as well by the look of it ![]()

Cool beans.
Could you drum it into him please - 'research' and 'attention to detail'. The world is a small place what with the interweb and forums and such - his potential customers all talk to each other and the word gets round very quickly, good and bad!
By the way, I'd be very interested in what his set up is like!

Hey Guys i live in New Zealand, i'm going to visit Claude tomorrow to discuss some more WWII style things i can get him to make, if you guys would like me to bring any points up with him in person let me know and i'll see what i can do.
Nice one chaos
You could firmly persuade him to make a m14 to g43 conversion kit. Would sell a few on here im sure.
Jay.
Oooh the little fibber! I NEVER had this option when I ordered my Garand and would deffo have gone for anodized as the paintwork is sh*te.
Also guys, the front end / barrel kits from Gunner or Cobra cr*p all over the AZR pics I'm seeing above.

It seems that they have indeed sent one package and Customs have held it at Stanstead: 'Additional documentation required for import'.
DAMN! DAMN! DAMN!
