Hi everyone, Im thinking of buying a cyma all metal mauser from rsov as a side arm/ trophy weapon for my 101st loadout and I was wondering, what does everyone think of this weapon? Is this pistol automatic because on the arnies airsoft site it says its air cocking.

"1) CYMA M712 Full Metal Mauser Style Springer Pistol (CM712)

i. The Built Material is Full Metal with Plastic Grip
ii. The Magazine Capacity is 14+1 Rounds
iii. The Overall Length is 295mm
iv. The System is Air Cocking & Manual Loading
v. The Muzzle Velocity is 280FPS with 0.2g BB
vi. The Package include a Gun, a Magazine and a Box
vii. For this it only costs US$ 42 "

What does air cocking mean?

cheers,
Alex

Maybes more of an air pistol rather than a springer.

Hi, you are probably better off getting the HFC gas one as it works really well. I have ona and am really happy with it.

I don't know much about the Cyma one but do and online search as it might be a springer.

WE metal 1911A1, get a new one & you can't go wrong, I get 300fps + out of it on utra gas, neg points, the finish can chip off them & the early mags leak, some people say they don't but I have 4 early mags & they all suffer from not holding the gas very well, they are now shipped with improved mags which are good, you can get spare mk2 magazies easy & cheap too, I use mine for modern airsoft, its great,

The M712 is a springer, which means you have to cock it for every shot. If you want a trophy weapon for your loadout why not go for the WE Luger?

Thanks guys, rsov has silver lugers in stock which look quite snazzy! :D Were silver lugers issued in ww2?

Cheers,
Alex :good:

No - the last thing you want in a war is a bright silver sidearm!

Best sidearm IMHO is the Bell m1911 - full metal and i get 330fps on green gas plus it's fully interchangeable with the Tokyo Marui version.

If you're doing an Airborne loadout then start off with an allied side arm, WE 1911 were getting some very impressive long range kills at Husky recently. Ask Webby and Rhysd lol Start with one of them.
I've got a Luger as a trophy weapon, but I think it's probably better to have your allied weapons before you start branching out.
