Good idea, look at my thread, get the plans off oddball and ask an questions you like, also you will need some kind of barrel extension for your P90. That's why I used an M14, nice high fps and rof and I'm going to sort out the ammunition feed so that there isn't a whacking great mag sticking out of the bottom.

yeah, im going to use copper pipe to extend it ( if any other idea, id like to hear it), PVC pipe to cover it and this will be sprayed black, and finally il put a .30 cal barrel cover over it.

The thing is with the P90 is that im going to have to do a lot of 'jigging about' because in oddballs plans the housing for the gun is 36.7cm (367 mm) long.....and the P90 is about 47cm......... :slap:

Another thing is the trigger and magazine feed, now iv thought of an idea but i dont know if its practical. Is it possible for me to move the trigger back and somehow incorperate it into the pistol grip at the back?

Also the magazine feed, i quite like where it is on the P90 as it MIGHT add a certain amount of realism. I can pop up the .30 cal lid and swap magazines, but im not sure if i can have the magazine feed at the front of the gun, and the trigger at the rear. I would get an M14 but i dont have a spare £100 to use up at the moment, so im stuck with a £35 P90

So my two main probelms are the magazine feed and the trigger, are my suggested ideas any good ( i.e can they be done?) if not, what other options are there??

Cheers

Rob

Not sure about the fact that it's 47cm long, is that the entire gun or just the internals striped out of it. I stripped all the aesthetic parts off my M14 before it went in the gun. You may find that it'll fit once you've done that, because as far as I was aware it simply slotted in.

Barrel extension: Get the copper pipe from B&Q it's supposed to be brilliant for using as a barrel for AEGs and will boost your FPS a little probably.

You will have to fit some kind of trigger to the back near the pistolgrip with a bar running inside the gun that pulls the trigger. There's no way you can fire the gun with the trigger in that position OR move that trigger some place else.

P90's magazine loading technique is perfect, you should be able to open the lid and simply slide the magazine in to place once the guns finished. I'm not really the one to ask about that though, PM Warren or Webby to see how good the loading system is, Warren makes em and Webby bought one.

yeah, thanks. but the trigger may work though, the website im ordering mine from has 2 types of this gun, one see-through and one 2tone. From what i can see it appears to be a wire that is joined to the motor from the trigger system so i miay be able to do something with it. but it would be unwise to base the whole project upon something i might/might not be able to do.

Yeah its 47cm long including the stock etc, but not the extended barrel with it. but i expect that once i strip the internals from it it will fit fairly easily.

Another worry is that its £35............will the internals actually be any good?-- attachment is not available --

It looks a bit tall you wouldn't want to be sticking up that much. My tripod only stands about 15 inches off the ground with the gun on top of it.

hmm good point, i dont need to lug that heavy thing around, but i suppose i could use the principal, just lower the angles from the ground up the leg to make the whole thing shallower, quite like the real thing then :)

everythings coming into place, all i need to do is get some money together and start

looks pretty good oddball :)

but iv hit quite a snag, the P90 i was going to get has got a pretty bad reputation, and the same gun for sale on another site actually has a disclamer saying that it will only cover the gun if it actually arrives broken, due to its PLASTIC gearbox

So it looks like im going to have to go for M14 internals, so spiers. how did you do yours? as i cant really find the same solutions for the M14 which i had initially for the P90

From memory and you are well under 18 , and will run up against the VCR act in that you are manufacturing a RIF without being either registered airsofter or over 18 .

Have locked topic for your own safety, will confer with other mods to mae sure I'm right on this .
