Hi Guys,
Thanks for welcoming me to your forum. Im looking at getting into ww2 Airsoft after playing its "modern" counterpart for a while. Im looking at possible Weapons. Now im very interested in getting the M1 Garand. It all seems very quiet as to shops selling it or having it in stock.
Is the M1 still available and if so where? preferably in the UK.
What part of the world are you? I would consider seeing if one of the shops could do a special order

I take it you're after a Marushin gas Garand? if so Kavster on this forum is selling one for about £300 including 10 clips.
Alternatives to the Marushin is a M14 aeg conversion, there are a couple available, one from AZR in the Phillopines which includes a full wood kit, although it does seem that you have to wait sometime to get it and then you have to do the work yourself or you could get one from Warren of ShootnScoot who is on this forum, I think you get the option of buying the kit and doing it yourself or he can supply the complete gun ready to go, if you're interested give him a ring, you'll find his number in the ShootNScoot area of this forum.

Zero One sell M1 Garand £350 or the M1 Carbine £240
you could import from Hong Kong, WGC Shop has M1 Garand's in stock $490
an alternative could be an M14 based to M1 Garand conversion?
Cheers guys, the Zero One website never seems to load properly when i go on there..I'll take a look though.
Im interested in this M14 conversion....Shame i just sold mine lol.
Im in the UK btw imp1864
Regarding M14 conversions - there are a few options. The AZR one is complete wood, but is not entirely accurate (particularly at the front handguard, where there's a great big "step" underneath). In addition, it takes a very long time to arrive.
Warren on the forum does the metalwork and fibreglass handguards. Or, you can look for wooden handguards on ebay, or brand new ones from http://www.macongunstocks.com if you want to try it yourself.
Regarding the Marushin Garand as a skirmishable weapon.... well, I understand it needs a little bit of work / upgrading before you use it. (I believe Kavster's has been sorted.) You will also need a few of the "clips", because they only hold the 8 rounds, and they ping out when empty. Yes, most realistic, however, you might not want to lose any, given that they're a few quid a pop!
