Comrades,
I've been thinking, What should I treat myself with for Christmas? :P

I've got my eyes on the PPSH-41 by Snow Wolf or try my luck with another AGM MP40 as the first one was (and still is) rubbish.

My rock is kinda comfy, so I'm not in the loop as to upcoming stuff. Is there anything I should hang on for?

Help would be appreciated :D

I think the Snow Wolf and Ares, have a plastic stock, where as the S&T has a real wood stock, other than that they are all the same.

Why not wait for the KWA MP40. It should be here around 1st Q 2017.

G&G MG42, PPS Kar98k, KWC P08 and patiently awaiting the KWA MP40 GBB.

Is that the GBB one? see, I am tempted but gas guns just seem to not work well with me.

What would be cool would be a MG34 clone :D

I owned a S&T PPSH and the internals looked built like a tank. Well reinforced gearbox and nice hop=up after cleaning and replacing the rubber. Still some issues with the back trap and electrical contacts here and there (Tamyia connector was purely rubbish). Overall a very robust replica. Also the drum mag looks awesome but sometimes a pain in behind to mount.
MP40 not such good internals - I couldn't make it shoot over 100 m/s regardless of internal / sealing etc.
From technical point of view - I like more the PPSH. Still it had to go as I have too many WWII AEG (STG44/ MP40 and a conversion to MP41). But I would recommend STG 44 over any other AEG I have (modern era or WWII).

Could get yourself a full Brit kit lol

I love my ppsh but the only thing I find is that I don't get to use it much as most games are western front. However the MP40 is a great little gun and hasn't let me down yet.

Regards,

Ralph

I second what you said adrg, I use my Ppsh in modern skirmish, as well as the stg's, like them both very much. My mp40 is a piece of poop, (AGM) but I'm determined to make it work properly eventually, working on micro switch at the moment, then moving on to hop unit and barrel.

For all intents and purposes the AGM MP40 is an investment you won't regret, mechanically reliable little gun and performs well enough out of the box and becomes a very handy little shooter if you do the AK hop mod. On top of that it will look spot on in any German loadout (admittedly a rifle looks better but good luck against the hordes of Thompsons with that), and won't look too bad in a western ally kit, on top of that if you do want to put together a Soviet impression the Red Army valued the short-range firepower of submachineguns and as such used huge numbers of captured MP40s.
While the Wehrmacht likewise employed captured PPSh-41s in large numbers that seems to have been exclusively on the Eastern front (makes sense really), never seen a photo of a 7.62mm PPSh in use in the West, leave that one unil you decide you want a Red Army kit.
If you fancy something a bit more exotic I've heard good things about the Beretta M1938 now available, and historically the FJ were very fond of it, doubtlessly the SS units involved in the disarmament of the Italian military got their mitts on a fair few of them too, not sure how many ended up in the hands of the Heer but no doubt it happened.

I've fired a bullet on every continent. Nearly hit someone, too.

Don't need any of those, but we do need a new M4 with a bigger spoiler and flames down the side, hopefully this one comes with a cup holder!

Back to the OP. You've already got lots of guns, what you really need for Christmas are some more uniforms, webbing, boots and camping gear.

I rather enjoy pointing my relatives at obscure websites to buy me 'even more crap' (as my wife describes it).

Cheers

It is done. I just need a Mk.V helmet, a pair of DMS boots and an S&S rubber bayonet and I'm good to go!

Oh and about five tons of scrim!
