also, the top reciever of the m14 isnt the same as an m1 garand, eg the fire selector.

Only mentioned the "BB" part as it'd be needed to some degree to get the mag in and be able to feed high enough.
I have an electric Glock 18 which is quite good (especially in the cold), but it's non-blowback.
A rifle has a bit more space to do it better job of EBB, though, doesn't it.
Obvious exclusions from this are the MP40 and the upcoming PPSH41, which are rare innovations (rather than imitations) from the Chinese.
There are signs that they're starting to invovate more and more though. D-boys are meant to be working on a PKM (which will definitely go on my shopping list).

Yes, but a electric NBB is basically just a small AEG.
If you want blow back then it'd be like the blow back kits on the various AEGs we have now and of course the new TN M4s.
You still don't get round the problem of what to do about the mags...
You'd never be able to breach load an AEG in the form of a garand unless you had major alterations in the way of the motor. Pull back the cocking handle on the M14 and you get the top of the motor casing.
The 8mm blowback would be superb if it fired a 6mm bb, how hard could it be. I know marushin have gone for 8mm because its realistic (ish) caliber, but 8mm BBs wander. They should make a NBB gas system like a SOCOM or P99. I would sacrifice the epic (but somewhat unreliable) blowback action on my GBB M1 Garand for non-blowback and reliabilty.
8 accurately fired 6mm bbs would be leaps and furlongs better than 8 unaccurate 8mm bbs.
You could pull back the cocking handle to breach load the rounds into a well with a speed loader, releasing the cocking handle would release the feed on the bbs into the hop unit.

You could have mags shaped like 8-round blocks!
There you go, I've practically solved it all for you - now someone go and build it...

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
alex, the stock sizes are completely different.
They ain't THAT different, AEG builders play round with the dimensions of stocks all the time to fit in things like batteries and the guff that goes with them...
Well yes, but every AEG up till now has had a realistic magazine, this means we should really be putting the mags in the top of the gun, not the bottom.
In some ways the Garand is actually more like a bolt action rifle.
I really don't see it as a huge problem, you don't even top load the bolt action airsoft guns so why make an exception for the Garand?

yes but that's simply an addition to the original m14 design a.k.a the Garand. I know there may be problems with the gearbox however I'm sure there's a fix for that which doesn't involve having a fire selector on the side of the gun!

This is the same idea I had. Or maybe work on some kind of reservoir built in underneath the motor...similar to a MP001 magazine but built in to the gun. I still think that people are getting too hung up on the mag, I personally don't think there's going to be a way of practically breach loading it simply because of the way it works...and have no qualms what so ever with loading the Garand at the bottom with a flush shotgun-type mag. One thing they maybe could do is work on making the magazine higher capacity.
On a lighter note...why the bloody hell is it snowing on the forum! It's very nice but off putting.

Yes why not, sorry dude, always hijacking your thread aren't I! I should announce them should I...
"Nobody move! This is a thread hijacking!"
There's probably quite a few M1 AEG threads already mate, I'd just leave it at that for now and get back on to the BAR!
Who's making it, have we got any pictures!?
