One of the chaps over on the US ww2 forum has ordered one and will write a review when he gets it.
The chap on the US forums has received his and has written a short review with a few pics....
So, the new toy arrived today. Overall appearance is good. The stock is a nice reddish brown faux wood pattern, but has a bit of a gloss to it. It looks quite close to the real thing. Not 100%, but high 90's. It's a hair longer than mine. The stock is maybe 1/4 inch wider than the real one and some of the contours are slightly off, but not much. The FPS started with a respectable 336 with .20's, but then succeeding shots dropped off until it settled in the mid 290s. Adequate but not impressive. Cocking it takes a bit of effort, especially that last 3/8 inch until the sear catches. It sounds like a springer, with a distinct reverberating echo. The magazine is built like a springer mag and it comes with a speedloader with an attachment for the mag. For a backup weapon, a prop, or support personnel it's definitely worth the money. It could probably hold its own against bolt actions, though the low FPS might put it at a disadvantage.

Just found this.

Thinking the internals could be used for a conversion?
An M14 is quite a bit bigger than an M1 carbine.
I've seen someone's attempt to put M14 internals in an M1 carbine stock and it doesn't quite work. They had quite a bit hanging out the bottom.
Isn't it easier to use AEG pistol internals? Like Glock?
Kitwhore files: S&S Lee Enfield No. 4, AGM Sten Mk. II, Tanaka Kar 98k, WE Luger P08
Wishlist: AGM Stg44, possible LE No. 4 gas project
The problem with those is the angle of the cylinder. The carbine doesn't have a pistol grip.
I believe some success was had with the AEP scorpion internals, but I'm not sure, and they're not easily available from what I remember.
Success yes. practical gun to skirmish with no. limited. range Nd the mags were a strange hybrid. of real carbine mags and the now difficult to source shotty mags.
Nothing wrong with a nice springer anyway as long as it can be cocked easy maybe without removing it from your shoulder even better.
Free speech is expensive these days!
I have adapted an AEP gearbox (Glock I think) to vent in line with the cylinder so no pistol grip required, and am in the process of making a tapet plate for it. I was thinking of squeezing it in to a denix but this looks more promising.
just purchased one from hong kong for 45quid posted, at that price couldnt resist as it will save me breaking my marushin.

Interesting, looking forward to the results

I've always wondered about why springer airsoft guns are usually 1 shot per cock.
Any particular reason why this isn't double action?
As it would probably make this Carbine perfect for support personnel if it was.

Crikey, it would need one hell of a pull on the trigger to create enough energy to compress a spring - you would need some amazing leverage/quadruple pully block system or something. A real gun has explosive to propel a projectile, and airsoft springer just has the energy you put into the spring. Kids guns might work with .1g bbs and a 3' reach I suppose but hardly skirmishable.
Fair enough, I have a springer Walther PPK that's double action, fires .2's at about 50 FPS and can put dents in card board at 4 cms away.
