im not interested in making anything out of it, once ive had a chat with him and shown him a few aegs and drawings ill get his contact details and post them on here. maybe wait till ive had my work done, and see about cost/reliability and the like.
the big thing i was impressing on him today, is that i only want inert parts made (covers, barrel jackets , bodys, etc)
i was stressing that it was totally illegal to make any kind of real part, (barrels , bolts and the like)
he has been approached to make stuff before, and he wasnt keen, but after a 5 minuite chat today, he said he`ll do work for me, and he seemed quite interested in the ww2 angle

ive done a bit of work on the g41 now
ive hollowed out the stock, (just a little bit) and now the barrel, hop , gearbox and battery fit in fine
ive got to get a new motor for the gearbox as the one in it has broke,
i need to get the top cover and bottom plate made, and a barrel band, as the k98 barrel band is too small
i also need to make a tubular magazine to fit inside the gun (feeding from the outside by speedloader)
ill post more pics when i can
due to real life issues progress has been slower than i thought, but it will be done in time for op areial

he was pretty good to deal with, item arrived ok , and was just like he said
the wood stain is a very dirty colour, it looks like its been rolled around in shit and oil , not a pristine civillain gun finish at all (which im glad about, i didnt want a good quality varnish, i wanted a worn battle used look)

just ordered a 590mm long ,tight bore barrel , the ak47 one was 140mm too short and the bb would bounce down the outer barrel tube.
so its now got a modified and angle grinder butchered mp40 gearbox, an ak47 hop unit, and a psg1 barrel. a g41 wooden stock , and now i need to make a tube mag, and custom made reciver cover and bottom plate and fixed magazine
the only thing on this gun thats taken from the d boys k98 , is the outer barrel, sights, trigger guard, and bayonet lug

I built the g41 this weekend
all i need to get made now, are barrel bands, top cover, bottom plate (i have a magwell and trigger guard already)
i finally got the mp40 gearbox to work again after 11 stripdowns and rebuilds, thats right ELEVEN 
put in a tight 600mm barrel and new ak hop rubber
I fired one muzzle loaded shot, and the trigger part in the gearbox has buggered, stripdown again next weekend
so at least it works, just needs tweeking and finishing cosmeticly
AND YES... a real steel bayonet does fit
heres some picys (these are a fit together, nothing is secured in yet, just place in a loose fit positon)
ive used about 5 % dboys k98 parts, some ak47 a psg1 barrel, and 2 X mp40 donor guns due to wrecking one trigger, and one motor

Ive finnally got this bugger shooting straight, on semiauto only , and with the hop working
i just need to finish making the reciver, (this week) and it can have a day out at operation areial.
the guy who was going to do the metalwork, suddenly decided to ramp up the cost threefold, as he knew i needed it in a hurry, (shouldnt have told him how desperate i was) so ive told him to ramm it up his ringpeice, and im making my own.
(ive been pilfering steel from building sites all over the north west, for a couple of weeks, i finally found some peices that will fit)

Ive finally finished the bastard this morning
magazine holds 25 rounds, but will only fire 12 to 14 before a top up is needed, time to reload is between 25 and 60 seconds depending on how many rounds are in the gun, (more rounds, its harder to compress the spring)
i will post pictures on here after operation ariel this weekend, ill get some pictures , in the right kit with the gun
the good thing, is when i fix my 2nd mp 40 gearbox, i can change the gearbox from a standard one to a high powered one, in about 3 or 4 minuites , so the gun can go to different games and be within the reqired fps for the game
total cost in cash and materials was
90 dollars for the g41 stock
2 mp40 donor guns,
an ak47 donor gun
a donor dboys k98 , for outer barrel, magazine well, and various other parts
a psg1 long barrel , 40 quid
i had to use my "special" 2 foot scaffolding bar for the reciver
lots of welding and liquid metal/aradite glue
some 6mm inside diamiter spring,for the magazne (made to order 10 quid a foot)
1 donor mp5 low cap, for inner magazine spring
about 3 weeks of man hours in the company workshop, (cheers boss)
ill post pics next week and later on , ill make a "how to do it "video if anyone wants one
