Looks good to me and it proves you don't have to be all anal and "rivet counter" about making a custom gun. You have a great base there to add detail to as time goes on. The important thing is, you can use it as it is!

To be honest this is a bit underpowered for regular skirmishing (except for maybe something like UCAP), unfortunately the LPEG was all I had to work with so there were limitations.
I`m hoping to knock one up with a proper box and the body made from sheet metal, it should be doable as the tube and stock will be virtually identical, just the receiver fabricated to house the new box.
The biggest surprise was getting the battery to fit in the tube, its a 500mah nicad with tabbed AA size cells, I`m pretty sure I`ve seen nimh AAs with a larger capacity so 8 of those would fit to make an 8.4v.
If anyone has got an M14 box lying around I could do with some dimensions such as the total length, height and thickness, if I think I can work with the measurements I`ll build a useable Sten and post the plans on here.
I`ve now made up a few rough sketches and edging towards an MP7 gearbox if I can find one.
I`ve found a supplier for the metals needed and some tabbed 2400mah AA cells, hopefully I can get them made into a custom battery to fit in the back of the tube.
I was going to make the receiver and tube one piece but think I can mount the box on the lower part and pop the lot up and forwards into the tube in a similar way that the MP40 fits together, and locate it all with a couple of pins.
Once I find a box I`ll be able to start it

It looks very easy, but then again I have a whole 'nother forum who are experts in making prop guns, and I believe I could do it, yours seems very simple.
I'm wondering what LPEG I could use? I'm not trying to spend too much on it.
