Hmmm internal 10000 round magazine.....not a gun that suits our style of play , more one for the multicam heroes I suspect . Reckon Warrens 30 cals look much better !

Maybe... but there's nothing saying that you HAVE to put that many rounds in it!

To my eyes any new WW2 gun has to be a good thing!

It should be pointed out that the pic that accompanies that article is of the real-deal. Pics of Airsharps real offering have not impressed me too much.

Warren's .30cals are very very nice! Heavy though! hehehe

Here's mine... shamless plug!

Any thing bigger than a .30cal wouldn't have been carried out into the field by the soldiers (correct me if im wrong) usually mounted on Armour turrets for the commanders to shoot?

I have seen an airsharp .30 cal in real life and I have to say I was actually pleasantly surprised by it. I really wasnt expecting a whole lot though.

Yes, it is plastic and very light - but it also didnt feel flimsy. It felt like it would hold up well.

I am sure Warrens .30 cals are nice - but the price also reflects that I am sure (especially for us dollar types!).

They have a .50 cal now too: http://air-sharp.com/

You can bet that won't be cheap.

I fancy making something heavy myself sometime in the future (next year hopefully). I was thinking a bit heavier than an MG though, more along the lines of a Pak 36 to deal with oddballs tetrach.

oooh rotter!!!! Seriously though good luck! I think a PAK50 would be nice-use standard drainpipe from B&Q, shells would be standard Madbull or any other make, the rounds could be those foam/rubber caps, jobs a gudun, then you could have a do making us Brits a 6lber! :D

Well I though anything bigger than a Pak 36 would be a tad ambitious. The size of the Pak 36 means it would be possible to manhandle it around a site in games, provided its not too rough. A bigger gun would only server as a static prop. Plus anything larger would mean it would have to be towed or put on a trailer, which could cause problems.

My plan was to build it based on a small trailer axle to which the gun, shield and two trails are bolted- meaning it could be broken down to be loaded in a car and even carried by had across a game site. For firing I would like to have the option of using moscarts against infantry, solid rounds (foam ones like you suggest) against vehicles and also have simulated fire support using pyros if possible.

Anyway, its a long way off but I'll just make sure I've got my eyes peeled next time I go to the tip.

Nah, dont have to worry about getting the PAK's out to deal with a Tet' - 7.92 AP would quite happily go through one of those things!

PAK 36 is a nice idea :)

What about a 'Shreck based on the moscart shell? If you can make a law using them, you can defenatly make one of these babies :D
