A good russian friend of mine posted this on my facebook this morning. Im pestering him for the link to the article as we speak but for now:

EDIT: does look rather too real though so I'm preparing myself for disappointment

:happyclap:

The german M14! Did they see much use? ( I know nothing about G43s).

Yes, from 43 onwards.

The first German semi-auto rifle was the ill-fated G41 (introduced in... I'll let you guess), which looked similar, but was actually loaded from stripper clips like the K98, and could hold 10 rounds. It was very unreliable. The G43 was a much better weapon, and the K43 sniper variant was also used, often 1 per squad, later war. They were never available in great numbers, and that was partly due to many being hijacked whilst in transit on the railways in USSR, I believe.

Sorry lads bearer of bad news here, this pic has seen a lot of messaging on the ww2 airsoft proboards too and one of their members has a link to the russian lad in the picture...
Apparently this is a G43 he has made and was taken to the show and therefore shown to the G&G representative. So unfortunately unless the guys have finally listened to a customer this aint a prototype :slap:
Sorry guys I wanted one too so am well dissapointed aswell.

Looks like I'll be taking the pitiful amount of change out of my "G43 Fund" jar then :(

I've also emailed G&G about it directly and they replied that they were considering it.
