If you're in the UK Militaria fairs and dealers are the best bet, but you'll need to do some searching. eBay and Specialist Auctions occasionally turn up the odd useful item. Otherwise, companies like Marstar in Canada can supply them - shipping aint cheap though.

Isn't importing parts for firearms against the law unless you have the appropriate Firearms Certificate?
Cheltenham militaria were selling k98 and No.4 wood sets with metalwork - last time I looked into a project weapon. Some of the project builders may have other UK suppliers. As Kermit said - events are the place to get hopefully a bargin, but Beltring was 96.75% bargin free this year - dealers asking silly money for silly things.
There are plenty of project k98 info on the forum both Sgt.Heide and Boshman and others have posted k98 projects. The last I remember posting was BaggyPants when he made a custom one for PD. Look up the K98 Springer Projects thread - and you'll find loads of information.
Actually just been searching on the web it looks like things are very quiet this weekend. Wait a week or so and re-search.
A lot can and will change in 5-7 days. If I find any on my travels around the internet I'll post here and let you know.

Simple way to look at it is that any part that the pressure of firing directly impinges upon, or a part which is required for a firearm to function as a firearm will fall under the relevant legislation. Please note that it does not include springs or screws.
I've got the relevant info & case law stashed away here somewhere.
