Right guys, quick and easy (or should be question)
we 1911 v We Hi Power?
accuracy, range and reliabality etc.
also how would the Heer carry a hi power if they got one? would they use a speical Hi power holster, or would they have luger or p38 ones used to carry it?
Cheers

My opinion is... both are rubbish, get a marui 1911 (and don't mod it!) ;)

I love my Hi Power but it has so many quirks it is almost unplayable.
Touch the hammer and it vents gas, not very practical for game play. Many times I have drawn it to use and there is nothing. All the gas has bled out. You can carry it without a mag but that rather defeats the point of a pistol for me.
I have a TM 1911 and its a corker. Never fails.

Seems 1911 is the way to go, would any of the German holsters fit a 1911?

That would be able to close over a 1911 right?

All I can say is that my Hi-power holster will fit my TM1911.
My holster is NOT the ima repro.
You can often fit a Hi-power in a soft P38 holster. I dont know about a 1911 and I'm too far away to check.

My old WE 1911 used to fit in my repro softshell P38 holster, so yes.

If you're portraying German why not get a more usual German pistol ..??.. the WE Luger is not bad and even the older P38s are usable . It's only ever going to be a side arm/decoration/ occasional use after all unless you plan on going Airfix at some point .

EDIT . I've had a coupla WE 1911s.....run them on propane ....they do pack a punch and the metal receiver will take the punishment , had one of the older non metal Hi Powers, it was crap and IMHO not as nice a pistol to handle although I'm sure some pedant will point out they were used by Axis forces . Comparing WE 1911 to WE Luger both are as accurate although the Luger is a lil more fragile . Back to my point about intended use and all .

I would like to, but im using it for Namsoft too, for Heer i dont think a 1911 looks to bad, could be captured but with Austriallian SAS in Nam or MACV SOG a luger may look a little out of place, but possibe i guess, what are spare mags, and parts like to find for WE lugers?
