Lord knows why they want to ACM this and not a gun that the world may have actually heard of but here's a one for you Hun Lovers: http://www.airsoftnews.fr/2010/10/30/ph ... 6-tcheque/ I guess it could be Bren'd or Jap'd up as well?!

Why don't they make a bren, ffs? I'm sure it'd be more popular!

I'm still amazed on why manufacturers make odd product choices like this. I'm of the opinion that this is a one off that will not be reproduced.

I mean the amounts you'd have to sell to pay for the tooling alone must be around 1000 units. Don't see this being that popular.

I ran a translator on the webpage and it seems that its a prototype produced by Redwolf. The writer says that it may be manufactured by viva or others.

Heh, in the comments there's a link to KTW, who are making a Type 99. Cost... £2,500 lol!

Hmm, an odd choice for sure. I do have a soft spot for the ZB26 though; I blame Hidden & Dangerous. Sounds like it could be another Viva short run custom like the MG34. :slap:

you can understand orientals wanting a type 99 ,and they are a healthy market but surely a bren would be more popular than the other, still its ripe for conversion but at that cost a s+s bren would be cheeper.maybe its our fault for not putting our vews to the manufacturers ,after all they may be in the dark as to what we want unless we petition them .

armoury
m1a1 Thompson,sten mk2,mp40,stg44,sterling,mk2 bren gun,lee Enfield no4 mk1,Mauser Kar98, Walther ppk,smith and Weston m10 and Mauser m712
Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well

strange choice for a weapon indeed. Unless your look is WW2 Chineese/KMT, Romanian, Yugoslav or Slovak?

Still it could be the basis for a Bren, Type 99 or even an FM 24/29 conversion if it is cheep enough (which appears not to be the case).

To the tune of "Mademoiselle from Armentières"

Napoleons army ran away, As you do
The guard stood firm for Frances Pride, As you do
They said the guard will stand and die
But we heard what their Colonel cried
It wasn't pretty I tell you.

Resistance is fertile

Not sure it'd be that useful for a Type96/99; looks like a fair amount of conversion work required. However, as they were manufactured by the Chinese, who's factories were later captured by the Japanese, they could be used as is, or dressed up as the much closer (but normally tank mounted) Type97. But to be honest, I wouldn't bother personally.

That would go perfectly with my early war Totenkopf loadouts, got loads of pics of the Zb 26 being used by TK.

However, if it's KTW, I wont touch it with a bargepole...

Loving the video! Very "Harry Enfield". I do wish, however, that these manufacturers would put some effort into more "mass market" stuff, like aeg Garands and practical spring K98's, Mosins and Enfields. It would make them a lot more money than these limited runs of lesser used WW2 weapons.

Simple economics really Pete. It's down to production capacity. If you haven't got the kit to produce large runs of items, then the only way to go is high value, low production run.

Ah so it's a viva. I was hoping it was HP. Oh well, i'll pass. I do wish viva made a second run of their MG34 though.
