Can anyone tell me or have a link to an image on how, where and which way a brass collector fitted on an MG34. Given the size of the battery compartment and the size of the lipo's I have I thought this was a good and quick way of housing my battery when fitted to the gun. Cheers, Tony

Latest: I found measurements and pics and have made one to the best of my abilities :good:

Brass catcher made and attached.

Inside I have attached a waterproof bag to keep the batteries dry.

I have made an extension cable which attaches to the MG's Deans connector. At the battery end I have made a splitter cable which can attach either a Tamiya or Deans connector battery.

Inside the waterproof bag is part of an elasticated emergency bandage which holds 2 batteries. This is attached to the aluminium box that the brass catcher bag is attached to.

Both lipo's, 1 connected and 1 in reserve pack neatly into the waterproof bag.

Ready to go :good:

Just need to paint the rivets black and then its complete. It also works perfectly.

Glad I gave you an idea mate :good: Thanks for the replies gents. It does help that the missus is a seamstress as she made the bag :happyclap: Just had a brainwave and found out that the PEQ Lipo will also fit alongside the 9v battery in the drum mag with ease :slap: so I am going to do an extension cable to the drum mag and use the brass catcher as a back up if I need to fit it for my larger batteries.

Aha! Ive been looking for a solution to my battery housing problem for the 42. I assume its perfectly fine to mount one on an mg42?

Very well done by the way, excellent manufacture :)

Also, pardon me for posting on a thread that's been asleep for a few months

No probs mate and you can actually get original brass catchers for the 42 quite easily so no need to make one. Just wire it up
