finally managed to get some time on the bridgeport this week so have made a start on the mg34. receiver has been roughed out of billet aluminium and there will be some small changes from my 1st attempt, like working cocking lever and the front end will rotate and lock like the real steel.
a few pics so far.
cheers, jay.

i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well

Looks amazing even now!
If I may ask, what is your job?
Can you stop posting All this Good stuff on the web site it makes me squirm with envy If you ever went into production I think you could have a tidy little income even if you made just the receivers for the guns and let people coomplete all the rest
Nay keep posting you are the God of Milling all pay homage
What HK said
As the g43 is a dead duck at the moment, and seeing some really good mg34's being made on here, i decided to pick up mine where i left off.
wanted to do something slightly different with the mag, and it meant more work, but happy with it so far.

Awesome!
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
It`s a true joy to see your creations in the making jay851, a true perfectionist just like me Working with CNC milling machines myself every day I can see you have put a lot of work in to this very complex machinegun!
MG34 with this setup was for anti defence right? Those real steel top covers are very rare and complex
