There's a flip side to this though. Would you want everyone running around with an MP44? I know I wouldn't. The mix of rifles and SMG's currently being used adds a nice element to the game of having differently ranged guns. Everyone totes one of these babies with a 600 rnd Hicap, and that aspect of the gameplay goes out the window.
Mind you, it's easy to deal with. Don't allow people to use them for games set pre 1944

Too right. If they can make a GBB M3, I don't see why we can't have a Sten. It would have to be all metal though, can't see a plastic magwell taking the force of a 1kg mag in a Sten. As long as you've got a receiver, the technology for GBB open bolt weapons is stupidly easy - a project for one of our more crafty members?

strangely enough i kind of agree with kermit... and it was a topic i was going to post about. what with all the postings about people want ing to go more 'realistic' i was going to suggest limiting the number of thompsons, and insist on more garands as well as having locaps only except for support gunners!

Anyone any idea which donner weapon you need first, as Kermit says, its a conversion kit. Hope this is for real, and would prefer a set of low caps for it rather than a 600 hicap. Although not too sure I believe this after the rumours of a cheap Chinese MG34/42 didn't actually materialise.
To be honest you could make an AEP sten.
You can tune an AEP up to 300 fps.
