Well, alot of you know I recently got AZR Machine and Tool Co.'s Thompson parts kit, but it did not come with an upper reciever. So, I decided to take it into my hands to try to make one myself. I mean, I know im never gonna find the Mosquito Molds M1928, so I made one for myself. I found someone who had a broken 1921 Chicago Typewriter Springer Thompson, so I took it off his hands, and managed to salvage the upper reciever, and the Drum Magazine. I hollowed out the 1921 upper reciever from the springer, and then fit it over the m1a1 reciever. Im gonna use Tommy Gunners (member on WW2AA) proccess to make the drum mag work, but heres some pictures of the Upper reciever in progress. Im still working on the ejector port on the right side of the Thompson, and the mag catch. and it is proving to be VERY hard. Notice that where the upper reciever meets the lower reciever, there is a sloppy mess, that is the adhesive I used to adhere the 1921 reciever to the existing m1a1 reciever. Ill eventually sand it off. Heres the pictures. More to come Let me know what ya'll think :D

Heres what the upper reciever looked like after I hacked off the molded on lower reciever.

Well, I didnt really like the way the front end of the upper reciever looked, so I took off the sheet metal coverings I used, and instead, got quarter inch thick birch wood, cut out the appropriate sizes, and applied them to the front end of the reciever. Heres the full album, but the pictures are below. There is one thing I still need to do, I need to put the appropriate selector switches on. But let me know what you guys think! :D
