Indeed, when the chinese arrived on the scene I thought we were going to see a bit of innovation , unfortunately they, like the rest, seem happy to pump out shitloads of M4 variants.
The Garand is almost there with the M14 and Socom, maybe they are not getting feedback from WW2 players, or now that they are established in the marketplace they just don`t give a toss.
People could argue that they are just reverse engineering other peoples products but the MP40 shows they can produce an original reliable model.
I did hear through the grapevine that they were trying to convert a Tanaka K98 to a springer but had problems, so shelved it. Why on earth they didn`t just shoehorn an existing springer mechanism into a KAR shaped stock I don`t know....maybe we should box Warren up and ship him out to China to give them some ideas

Aaaah the SRC debacle....
when the mp40 was first announced it was announced as an SRC which turned out to be nothing more than a rebranded AGM - it was also never delivered - there is some stuff about it on the ASCUK forums... with about 100 quid added to the price tag. the ak they have on that site is already available as a JG tactical check out actionhobbys.co.uk
The situation may now be different, but it looks like they are taking guns that are already available and adding about 100 quid to the price...

It will be hard to top the AGM in it's price range....

I agree. The AGM is exelently well priced with decebt finish, my only gripe is the magazines. They would have been better suited to do a bergman or a mp41.

Neill - it was the S-3 Vs AGM debate. S-3 merely being rebranded AGM stuff, thats sold for a considerably higher cost.

Slick63 - It would be slightly more than "shoehorning" spring bits into a VSR stock. For a start, *all* the spring sniper rifles on the market use a receiver that's far shorter than that of the 98k.

i made some out of tokyo marui uzi mags, if you're careful they work OK, they can add a touch of realism ie jamming every now and again  luckily not too often.

You'l have to post up a 'how to do it'

Kermit recomended top mp40 mags with uzi internals.

I'd happily send someone the mags and pay em to tdo the job is they coudl do it at a reasonable price.

I recommended TOP MP40 Hicap magazine with Uzi Hicap internals for the TOP MP40, not the AGM one!

Thats certainly true, but you would think that with a bit of Chinese ingenuity and factory resources that they could`ve come up with something :)

if you want to get some of the other mags, i'd happily take a look at them, i'm fairly handy, as you know, and I've got the AGM to work from.

I assume that an UZI midcap would be more or less the same conversion

You *sure* you mean Midcap? no-one makes Midcaps for the TM Uzi. Your choice is either locaps or hicaps.
