Had a search through the forum and a few people have hinted they'd try and make one, but has anyone ever finished one? Or anything close to.
The only thing near it I've ever seen was Barrie and Anne's at the Loop game. I think they had modified M14s, but they looked quite effective.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
I thought I'd have a go at converting an M14 I've got,I've also got a spare heatshield and outer barrel on the way. Its not going to end up 100% accurate but hopefully will look close enough for an M14 conversion.
Here is one of our SVT-14s.
I just filled the ribbed plastic top cover with milliput, cut some slots and painted it to match the wooden stock. The front bit is just thin aluminium sheet with holes drilled in it. Simple enough even for me and my limited diy skills.
Here is a real one; can you tell the difference?

Thanks for posting the pictures. Thats pretty much what I was going to try.
i think a better starting point would be a svd dragonov with a m16 butt stock on it just an idea
M16 butt stocks aren't shaped to hold it like an old fashioned rifle (as you hold it by the handle) The M14's stock is almost identical in shape to the SVT.
i ment a m14 stock pressed the wrong button silly bugger that i am sorry but i think that a svd dragonov is a good option as ther barrel, reciver and foregrip is the same but the pistole grip is wrong i mean put a pic of a dragonov and a svt-40 beside each other and you will see they are simalar
I think the problem is that the pistol grip on airsoft dragunovs contains the motor - it's at the wrong angle for the M14 stock.
Also, I think pretty much everything about the dragunov is different to the SVT-40, apart from the from the front sight and gas block at a push - the handguards split down the middle on the dragunov, so you'd have to saw them in half and glue the two top halves together to fit on an SVT-40.

The springer A&K dragunov would be a good candidate for converting into a SVT. It won't be semiauto, though.
you can't use the AEG dragunov because the motor in the pistolgrip will be in the way. Way i see it, you can make a new stock for the A&K dragunov, modify the bolthandle a little. You'd have to take off the safety lever though...i'd love to try this if i could get my hands on one cheap.
