I'd heard that too, but a friend who has one said the slide was bare of trades.

Maybe they've changed the design? The one I got had definitely got trades on it. No that it would bother me at the price if it didn't. Plenty of aftermarket slides out there for the TM 1911 that would fit if you have to have trades on it.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

I was reading Ai mag Vol 5 issue 7 where they give the Tercel a good review. It has got trades according to them. They also mention a full metal Springer 1911 that has no markings on it, that sounds quite interesting for a back up, but dont mention where to get one. Knowing what gas guns are like in the winter, I thought it might have potential and for a score, why not?

I've got a Tercel 1911, heres a pick of the trades on it. The slide is bare of any marks. I've never had any problems with it.-- attachment is not available --

A 1911 will fit in a Hi-Power holster too.

A 1911 will fit in a 37 pattern Webley holster too, if it's the offset-popper version.

thanks for that Sandy, Ai state they have an fps of 196, do you think there is the possibility of a spring upgrade to the 250 / 270 mark or is it just best left alone, (in the lines of if it aint broke...)

Don't forget you have to cock it manually, with little to grip on if the spring is too strong.

Actually they'll fit in pretty much any of those holsters... it's the hi-power that really needs the offset popper version.

Tercel and Bell 1911s are both compatible with Marui's 1911 mags (and likewise the Bell and Tercel mags will work in a Marui), but while Tercel are pretty much an exact Marui copy, Bell 1911s have slightly different internals.

I haven't bothered,it works surprisingly well as is and considering I'm only ever likely to use it at close range if I get caught out without a mag in,or for sneaking it's much more fun low powered.Plus I think it might be a hassle to cock with a stronger spring. At that price for a metal springer that looks close enough to right it'll do to fill the holster.

I bought one of these holsters off ebay and it was more than just an interference fit with my WE1911 to begin with, but after a few weeks of soaking in dubbin and stretching it in all directions with all manner of implements (the rolling pin was particularly useful), I have now got it to the point where I can pull it in and out with too much of a major effort and close the fasterner. :happyclap: The quality looks fine, but its just the sizing could have been more generous for a 1911.

These look to be similar holsters ? >

Never used the company, just happened to do a search after having read the thread, as I'm going to need a holster myself at some stage - seems a reasonable price ................. ??

I finally got my holster today and wholeheartedly agree that it is a very tight fit, but I plan to use leather stretcher, which is sold for old ladies to make shoes fit their wide fit. I'll cut wooden baton to the same dimention of the mag and the barrel and soak the whole lot and force it in untill I have a good fit. The exterior leather looks very new as well, does anyone have any sympathetic tips for aging leather exteriors?

Neatsfoot Oil! It will darken the leather and make it soft n supple . Brush it on liberally inside and out and allow it to fully soak in and dry for a week or so and then wipe off any remaining excess. I use it on all my repro "cardboard" leather and it makes the world of difference.

You can get it from Scatts or any country/equestrian store it's about £5 for 500ml.

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."
