Nice day in the sun doing more on my K98, managed to dislodge a giant knot in the wood though so spent a while fixing that.

Well given the amount of people who upgrade snipers someone may have a 350 spring from a project gun left over. Might be worth asking on some forums.

Just picked up a german tornister and gloves, A US jeep cap, trigger finger mittens, scarf, paratrooper braces and a belt for my mustard trousers.

Spent a few hours with B&Q paint stripper on the metalwork of a few rifles. Suffice to say I'll never be buying another rubbish B&Q product ag...

Picked up a German breadbag and a Tan and water smock.

Did a little more on the metalwork of my K98, still searching for a front spring band. I don't want there to be one random plastic part.

Guess these didn't make it over here then, seems a shame to let them slip away. Anyone know of a decent source for getting one from Asia? I can't seem...

Well I got the sight trimmed off with no damage. I'll give that a try. Just got a new mosfet in to try and solve the issues with the Garand, It seems ...

Luckily mine hasn't yet I don't think but the slidey thing that moves over the barrel to adjust the arm is splitting due to the screws being overtight...

Took a chisel to the stock of my K98 to fit the hop block. I think I'm going to use a grub screw to adjust it, never liked the sliding thing.

Sounds like the quality control on these was especially poor. I've heard of a few problems with different batches.
