Nice day in the sun doing more on my K98, managed to dislodge a giant knot in the wood though so spent a while fixing that.

Luckily mine hasn't yet I don't think but the slidey thing that moves over the barrel to adjust the arm is splitting due to the screws being overtight...

Took a chisel to the stock of my K98 to fit the hop block. I think I'm going to use a grub screw to adjust it, never liked the sliding thing.

Sounds like the quality control on these was especially poor. I've heard of a few problems with different batches.
