yes... its true... the damage may be so extensive as to make that plan unworkable.
Thinking again...
We could use the jeep to try and get initial forces from the LZ to the ramp.
Sorry , it's a bit tactical doctrine . There is a well known problem with troops digging in and then not advancing . Germans and US were bad for it . Once they have stayed for a day in prepared positions, it could be a devils job to get them going again .
My thought was if you tell the Allies the medical block (only 50m from the LZ) is the objective, they may get too bogged down with defending it rather than pushing on . In which case we Germans could "ignore" it, forcing you to come out into the rest of the site . It would make for messy play, hence why better to have an objective deeper in enemy lines , it'll force the play to be more mobile and agressive on both sides .
Guy... not a problem
For the allies:
The objective will be the ramp in the morning and the medic block in the afternoon.
For the Axis the objective in both parts is to kill all allied troops... They need to get the allies completely out of arnhem.
As long as we can get the majority of the sitre in play i dont mind, but i feel original bridge site and medic block are too close to make worthwhile objectives.

"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
Yeah... and I've got possible issues with the original bridge site. It is okay, but that great big roller door and the lack of cover on that side does make it a bit poor area to defend.
I didn't worry about it before as the site for hotel really made it the best location. Now we have to move the hotel, and the medic block is the best building on the site for that purpose, without taking location into account, then perhaps moving the bridge ramp would be better?
I've been thinking and from a purely practical point it will be easier to organise the afternoon armoured assault down the safezone road as we can actually move the vehicles to it without having to drive them through the site. There is no real access to the other road except through the site itself.
If you like I'll do a new version of the map with my new arrangement on it?
As long as we can get the majority of the sitre in play i dont mind, but i feel original bridge site and medic block are too close to make worthwhile objectives.
This is my concern too .
I like the postion of the bridge ramp, but you guys will have to have a good think on Saturday as to how this will play out without becomingthe same game played twice.
Don't forget the gold etc
BTW I had thought to use the vehicles in a limited fashion in both games , not too bothered but some thought to their use would be useful . Just letting oddball drive around willy nilly like a pimp on drive by shootings would be as gay as TA2 ! Maybe we could use it more as a mobileobjective, ie capture this area , more the comms jeep to it and defend , perhaps use it as a mobile HQ ? All just random thoughts
Myself and Gadge are currently chatting to oddball about his jeep.
One comment from oddball was that he didn't really want to get his jeep shot up too much as he likes his paintwork.
Hence I suggest that we limit its use to a few specific occasions... what those will be, me and Gadge will need to work out. However a problem we have right now is that they could be both axis and allied and we'd like to avoid having oddball changing uniforms all the time.
Another thing to complicate matters is that Oddball is also bringing a friend with him. This friend is a newbie and doesn't have either axis or brit kit. Oddball would like to keep him close to him however as he is new to airsoft! I think what we may have to do is offer to pay for uniform hire from warren for these guys...
It's sounding like more bother than it's worth TBH . He doesn't play much airsoft, he's not used a vehicle in airsoft before, I think it 'll just becoem distraction.
Well we'll see how it goes...
