Now I am confused - aren't the trenches in the US sector?

yes the trenches are is the us sector but there is no combat in the evening so if you want to bed down in that area it will be fine.

I must admit I'm confused now as well, I believe the origanal talk was for the 26th to set up their own camp near the lines, there was also talk of a fly sheet etc being brought but nothing since?
Personally I think it would be more sociable to camp at the main site as there are going to be a lot of new/differant faces and unlike the Doughboys I dont think we have all the home comforts.
If we can confirm our plans in advance would be gratefull :good:

I wanted the tarp to use at our German HQ in-game, in case it rains. Accommodation at the camp/safezone is fine and already catered for.

I think the point is kind of to be 'in your' trenches... bedding down a at the front line and such, as opposed to, well, any old 'camp and play'.

Same with us having 'our camp' and a 24 hour on the front line feel to the event. It is like with every progressive clarification this is being bit by bit stripped away, bit of a shame really.

It is, try 'in front of' and play with the phrase anti-social...

Oh I get it, a 'front line' social as it were, very droll. :giggle:

I thought the idea was to socialise en masse on Friday before the event starts and then (those who are period camping in the field) stay in our various sectors over Saturday night.

I'm sure there were dancing girls and free barbiturates in the original game plans. What happened to the dancing girls and barbiturates?

Corporal Bellefleur assures me he filled in the appropiate requisition in triplicate and submitted copies to Coy HQ....

I hope he sent them to Battalion HQ. If he submitted them to Company HQ then they'll be in is in tray.

Well I'm hoping to be there (with Ranj and Ed) at around 16:30 or slightly earlier as I have a lot to set up before bedding in for the night. Basically I have the Doughboys company HQ.

So this lot:

(well ok, most of it)

16:30 is sunset... so we'll need to get sorted pretty quickly before we lose the light.

i cant see any problems with this plan. only thing i did notice is camping in the trench area could get abit crazy if the trench are falls under fire from enemy forces during the day so might be an idea to errect any tents 10 or 15 meters back abit from the trench and bunker system, will sort this out on friday though.
