I've lost a bit of weight and am in the market for some new battledress. I've used the epic militaria BD up till now but want to know who makes the better uniform

If the best is what you want look no further, my condolences to your wallet.
I've fired a bullet on every continent. Nearly hit someone, too.
Yes, Panther is the best.
Personally I'm quite happy with my SOF BD (I've got two sets, early war and late war), but I got them both second hand so didn't pay full price.

Ouch. Maybe panther stores is a bit too pricey right now

I got this from panther:

Worked out cheaper than the same items from SOF when I payed for it last May, and is worlds apart in terms of quality.
Got mine made in the original army size 13, as I'm not really a fan of the whole made to measure thing (too much room for error and it bugs me on an authenticity level). It fits brilliantly and it's identical to originals in construction and colour.
They are very pricey though, I really lucked out and my dad got it for me for my birthday (I only cheekily asked him on the off chance tbh), but I would say that they are definitely worth the money, in terms of quality and authenticity.
They are also the cheapest of the high quality battle dress that is available, other options are khaki on campaign, khaki devil and Pegasus have actually stopped doing battledress so that they can concentrate on their WW1 range. From what I've seen I think panther is the best but have a gander at the other options, though they are more expensive.
I must say that the whisperings of the WW2 reenacting demons have been telling me to get an austerity pattern set for late war impressions...
I'm definitely interested in panther store BD. I'll have to save up a bit more/sell some stuff but the austerity pattern uniform does look very good.

Ralph
Yeah I'm meant to be putting dosh aside for driving lessons, so the reenacting demons will have to wait unfortunately.
Personally I went for the earliest pattern of BD, as I like to do earlier war impressions more and it's good for the whole war, but their austerity pattern BD is very nice. Much better than other repros I've seen.
I think I may give up on the idea of panther stores battledress. £230 is a lot of money and I have a few projects I'm trying to fund. I quite like the colour of the SoF 1940 pattern BD as the epic militaria one I use now is quite light.

Ralph
SOFs are fine for the money, plus it's airsoft so it's going to get proper use not posed in a wartime weekends.
