This seems to come up regularly by people looking to turn to WWII airsoft .
I thought people could post a list of suppliers who they have found to be good quality suppliers of Allied uniforms to help those getting into this side of softing .

NB this is not a sponsored thread by any supplier, neither does this forum directly endorse any of the below . Please only post those you have had dealing with directly .

I have had or will be having items from all of these:

Soldier of Fortune of course... but can be expensive and sometimes a little suspect as far as accuracy is concerned. But usually good enough for airsoft... :)

Sentimental Journey Excellent place for webbing bits, pack fillers, buttons, etc, etc...

Div Patch Get your formation patches, rank patches, arms of service patches and regimental shoulder titles here.

Replicaters (India) Cheap uniforms made to measure. BD of questionable quality, sometimes as are some other bits. Far East stuff spot on! (Don't buy braces here, they're crap) Cheap and reasonably accurate Denisons available.

Sabre Sales Wonderfully cheap webbing, stacks of it and other good deals. Aparently worth a trip to the shop. Stocks lots of stuff that is not listed.

Shoot'n'Scoot Best known for their custom made British airsoft weaponry... bren, sten, No4... whatever you ask for... brilliant! Also does some airsoft suitable uniform items at good prices. Has plenty of Belgian Denisons in stock for that airborne look.

Khaki on Campaign Great source for BDs and caps... email him for a price list. All made to measure. Expensive, but you get what you pay for. The serge is perfect.

Springfields Webbing, uniform items and Ammo boots. Prices a little higher than some... but not bad.

What Price Glory (USA) Good range of stuff... at good prices. I'd source from the UK rather than order from the US if possible. Sometimes the service can be a little questionable... but generally OK. I just had some ammo boots from WPG and they're great! Very comfy, very accurate and come with leather laces as well.. :)

Tommy's pack fillers. Really a bit over the top for airsofting... fill your packs with authentic items. Aimed really at WW1, but some usable for WW2. For instance leather shoelaces for your ammo boots.

Pegasus Good for British Airborne kit. BD's good. Repro Beret excellent and good value at

I've just seen a report that the denims from http://www.replicaters.com/ww2britarmy.html are very good indeed.

http://www.wwiireenacting.co.uk/forum/v ... 847#351847

This helps us a lot as they are a very good alternative to wool and you'll get a pair of trousers as well...

oh... btw, you'll notice in the picture that one of the denim jackets doesn't seem to have any buttons. Thats because they're actually removable. This only applies to the jackets. The trouser buttons are not the removable type.

The buttons are readily available from http://www.sentimentaljourney.co.uk.

I have no idea if the replicaters denims actually come with them!

So, order from replicaters. Then if you need to, order some buttons from Sentimental Journey. Don't forget to order clips for the buttons as well. The buttons should come out at about 16p each. I'm not sure how many are needed, but I reckon a couple of quid probably covers it.

This is a good place, they have all sorts of stuf inc ww2 British & US, their website is a bit naff but the place its self is like an aladins cave, like the army & navy stores of old, if your passing through Liverpool its worth a visit, but they only seem to open afternoons.

For early war or to impersonate wool BD, the WPG/SoF denims are a great colour and have the pleated pockets. Denims are much more comfortable than wools in even warm weather, though the protection is not as good.
You can even use the for U-boat crew for which the later style is not suitable.

For patches (aos, div, regimentals and so on) DivPatch are worth a look at. Very nice repros, only problem might have to wait a while as theres an illness.

Cobbaton Combat Sales seem to stock a good range of the harder-to-find 37 pat webbing bits

Best smock you can get at the moment IMO.

I have a really expensive K&C one and a rangercamp one - you cant tell the difference.

The wool in the collar isnt quite as thick on the RC and the zip doesnt have 'lighting' written on it. thats it.

here you go. comparison.

rangercamp one on left, its a bit darker as the K&c has been washed a few times.

Rangercamp smocks are amazing for the money but K+C,Gmax Militarytour(almost identical)are still the BEST smocks available and now thanks to Rangercamps low prices can be had used for the same or slightly more money-which of course is good for buyers but not sellers  :(

PS ,K+C is the one with the half zip Gadge is wearing as the colours of the Rangercamp ones(at least when new)are quite distinctive compared to the others

Just got my BD denims from Sanjay and they seem more OD green than khaki - certainly wildly different from my wool trews, which are more yellowy green. Do I need to do something to get them more colour-appropriate?

Check how many buttons you have down the front as he used to make his Blouses with either 1 too many or 1 less button than should be there :(

Five buttons down the front. My camera charger has gone missing so I can't do pics right now. The denims look like surplus british army shirts. The wools are the colour of baby poo.

Hopefully I've painted a mental picture for you :D

Mid war the colour of denims changed from brown to green/grey. You can find this later colour quite easily at shows and fairs.
